Throw Trump’s Phone in the Terlit

There’s another Edward Snowden out there. Today, Wikileaks exposed purported CIA cyber hacking tools containing highly technical details about how surveillance is carried out. That would make them far more revealing and useful to an adversary than the Snowden leaks. In other words, Snowden provided a briefing book on U.S. surveillance, but the CIA leaks could provide the blueprints.

Dubbed “Vault 7”, the unauthorized disclosure is the largest ever publication of confidential documents on the agency. It exposed the malware and exploits the agency amassed to hack smartphones and turn some televisions into covert microphones.

One of the documents also shows how the CIA developed a program to hack internet-connected televisions in conjunction with British intelligence. The attacks can place Samsung smart TVs in a fake off mode, so the owner believes the television is switched off, while in reality it is functioning as a bug and recording conversations in the room.

Trump now has a YUGE problem on his hands. The unauthorized disclosure – the first part of which WikiLeaks said consisted of 8,761 documents and files from the CIA’s Center for Cyber Intelligence – confronts him with a threat from the very organization that leaked documents on his opponent, Hillary Clinton, during the 2016 presidential campaign. The response to this is not a 140 character tweet. Dats for sure.

The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) cites over 120 bomb threats against Jewish community centres across North America since the start of 2017 and we’re only March. Today was Toronto’s turn. Toddlers and babies were evacuated from a downtown Jewish daycare this morning. Almost at the same time, a Jewish community centre in London Ontario received a bomb threat.

It appears that most of these nutballs are going to get caught and hopefully dumped into a jail for an indeterminate amount of time. Given that, one has to pray that the real deal will never happen.

Right now people sending their children to any Jewish community centre anywhere in North America are edgy. Let’s hope the police find out who’s doing this much sooner than later.

Blanche, we have a very good idea. Why don’t they contact wikileaks who seem to be able to find and dig up anything, anywhere. No one is immune from their tentacles. If they can find out how the CIA is hacking into people’s smart phones, they can certainly find out who’s responsible for the bomb threats.

Tomorrow is international women’s day – 24 hours (of the 8,760 annually available) set aside to celebrate women and all of their achievements. Sounds not bad. Kind of.

So what are the highlights of this day going to be? Well, women from more than 40 countries are staging a strike from all work, paid and unpaid, to highlight women’s power within global economies.

Organisers of the Global Women’s Strike have joined forces with coordinators of the Women’s March and hundreds of human rights and women’s campaigners to capitalise on momentum in the movement in the wake of Donald Trump’s election. And here’s where they lose a lot of women.

They may despise Donald Trump. He may be on the road to implosion, but he’s still the legally elected president of the United States of America. Marching is not going to make him go away nor will it get Hillary elected.

Trump was tweeting again on Saturday as Jarid and Ivanka kept Shabbos. Somebody has to get that phone on Friday night and throw it in the terlit. It’s not like he can run out and buy another one. He’s stuck in the White House.

This time he tweeted about Obama wiretapping him in Trump tower. While he may be correct in his assumption as per the wikileaks documents, perhaps, just perhaps, he should have waited until he had actual proof of his accusation. Not that he’s wrong. Most likely he’s correct. But…

He keeps setting himself up to get a beating from all sides of the media. Not to mention that the other world power leaders are most likely apoplectic from his non-leadership style.

We are fans of Trump but are finding it increasingly difficult to defend his rather erratic behaviour, to say the least. It appears he still doesn’t quite grasp that he’s the president of the greatest power on earth. He will find out very quickly once he has his first major crisis. And one more thing: president Bannon has to go.

The new revised immigration law has been unveiled by the Trump team. What does it mean for Americans or Canadians not from those six countries? Good news.

From many destinations, airlines, hotels, and cruise ships, there is serious discounting.
These are not just for the next few weeks—but for the next few months. And if you hold a valid U.S. or Canadian passport, your fear factor has been reduced substantially.

Even with the revised presidential proposal on visas and immigration, the discounts show no signs of going away. Time to book your next vacation.

Tom Brady, the most winning quarterback of the Super Bowl is one smart dude. Blanche did you know that his $200 cookbook has sold out? Wait, did you even know he had a cookbook?

Now he’s onto the one of the hottest things on the market: For $78 per week, Purple Carrot will deliver ingredients to customers throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and West Coast regions for six dinners constructed to Tom Brady’s training specifications. According to the company, its meals are high in protein, free of gluten and dairy, and low in processed sugar. Brady is going to be very rich.

we’ll talk…
