This past week, Montreal's Consul General of Israel held a party for Israel's 75th. The who's who of Montreal's Jewish community was there, including representatives of the provincial liberals and the caq.
Madame Pascal Dery represented the caq party and perforce the czar legault. This woman has clearly forgotten who she is. We will remind her: A Jewish woman. Why are we writing this?
Well, believe it or not, when she spoke to the assembled, all of whom speak both french and english - she chose to speak only in french. Not. A. Word. Of. English.
We will, yet again, jog madame dery's memory and remind her that when the germans came for the Jews they didn't care how german they had become. They didn't care how assimilated they were. They didn't even care if they only spoke german. They were Jews and that was all that mattered.
What was she thinking by speaking only french? Making sure everyone remembered she's the MNA for the very famous city of Repentigny? They all knew that. To remind everyone that the czar legault is her boss and she's kissing his ...? They all saw that.
Trying to be more french canadian than the french canadians is a dangerous game to play. Remember this Madame Dery: they will never ever let you forget who you are. Maybe not to your face, but you can be sure behind your back you are 'the juif'.
It is also not a great idea to forget where you came from and who brought you to where you are. Eventually, doing that comes back to bite you.
Last night there was a town hall meeting in New Hampshire with Donald Trump. Believe it or not, it was on CNN who gave him a platform for free.
It appears the audience were all his supporters. Duh. Did people think he would allow booing on live TV?
This morning, all his detractors are frothing at the mouth at how brazen he was. Not one question fazed him. And, in true Donald fashion, if he didn't like the question posed, he just changed the subject.
Have his detractors not yet figured out that live television gives Trump a massive boost of energy, making him feel invincible?
We just watched a new Trump election ad. It depicts Biden as a dotering, feeble, old senile man. It shows his policies as miserable failures, which they are. Trump asks - do you want four more years of him? No? So vote for me. It's a really good ad and very relatable.
Again we reiterate - if the two front-runners - an almost senile old man and an extremely loud, loose cannon of a man are the only two people the USA can find to run for president, they are in much bigger trouble than anyone thinks.
Maybe they should try George Santos? Oh wait. He's going to jail.
Believe it or not, worse than Biden and Trump is Kamala Harris. The world should not stop praying that Biden doesn't croak while in the White House. If that machsheva (genius) Harris ever gets to the Oval Office you best stock up your survival kit.
If you think we are kidding about Dery being nothing more than a pretty blonde mouthpiece for the czar legault, let her comment on this:
Pediatricians in Quebec are no longer allowed to see newborns for routine check-ups, with the responsibility now falling on family doctors.
While this might seem like a reasonable idea, there's a significant problem: there's already a shortage of family doctors in the province. Like tens of thousands and thousands of people with no doctor.
The issue is exacerbated by PREMS (geographical licenses) not being issued, which means we can't even bring in new doctors to help.
The consequences are alarming. Soon, infants will struggle to find healthcare providers for essential check-ups, vaccinations, and growth monitoring. This could lead to delayed diagnoses and treatment for various health issues, jeopardizing our children's well-being.
So Madame Dery - what do you have to say about this?
Also present at the Israel gala was Elizabeth Press, MNA for the provincial liberal party, who replaced the disappeared dufus David Birnbaum.
She wondered to a few people why Blanche doesn't like the quebec liberal party.
Like the liberal party? We can't find them. They are silent and invisible and have been so since their last 'leader', Dominique Anglade made a messy exit.
Madame Press - your party cannot get its act together.
You should have chosen your leader long ago. And it should have been someone who can actually lead and even more, be a vocal opposition to the czar legault.
We hold the liberal party very much responsible for allowing the czar to do what as he pleases here - to say what he wants, and then enact any laws he wants. Your party is MIA - missing in action.
In case you forgot about the Anheuser-Busch aka Bud Light debacle we will remind you it's still a hot story.
You will recall AB used Dylan Mulvaney - who decided he's a woman complete with a full face of makeup, as their posterboy on a can of beer. One of the biggest woke culture bs mistakes out there.
HSBC, one of the major multinational world banks recently downgraded the stock of Anheuser-Busch to a hold status, meaning investors should neither buy nor sell shares of it.
The bank cites the following, very true words:
If Budweiser and Bud Light are iconic American ideas that have long brought consumers together, why did these marketers fail to invite new consumers without alienating the core base of the firm’s largest brand? Bingo.
That's exactly what they did. To garner new consumers, they made the same mistake Pascal Dery is doing - they forgot where they came from and who brought them to where they are today.
Madame Dery should take note here. The backlash of forgetting your essence doesn't bode well in the long term. Just look at Anheuser Busch. Plummeting sales and they just keep falling.
Until their 'old' consumers stop using Bud Light beer cans with Mulvaney's punim (face) on the can as target practice, they will continue to lose tons and tons of money.
Of course Anheuser Busch can always admit they made a giant mistake. That would definitely end the bleeding. Alas, woke culture people think themselves above the fray to even think of that.
You may not be a big fan of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, but he has his head screwed on right. As opposed to one of the 'squad' - Rashida Tlaib, the illustrious daughter of palestinian immigrants.
Why she and her family still live in the US when they hate it so much is beyond our comprehension. They should go back to where they came from - the 'thriving' West Bank. Oh wait. There's no infrastructure there. Not even a proper hospital. But if you hate the US so much, why do you live there?
Tlaib is planning to hold an event recognizing al-nakba — “the catastrophe” — which is how many Arabs refer to the creation of the Israeli state and the time since.
But she lives in the United States? You want to hold a nakba event? G0 back to palestine and party till the cows come home. Israel is not going anywhere. Wait a minute. Where do the people from the west bank go for medical care? Oh right. Israel.
Now ask what McCarthy is doing? Hosting a bipartisan discussion to honor the 75th anniversary of the U.S.-Israel relationship.
Nothing more to say here except that people like Tlaib don't deserve to live in the US.
Finally, we must comment on the new design of Canada's passport. It seems the 'designers' came from within different departments in Ottawa.
Could it be those are the same designers who created the Air Canada very weird safety film shown before we take off?
You know - the fisherman getting his lifejacket while he's on his boat - showing us how not to drown if the plane crashes into water? Or maybe the yoga people sitting on chairs in the middle of nowhere showing us how to bend over and put our head between our knees if the plane crashes or hits turbulence?
Or the young aboriginal girl showing us how to put on our seatbelt.
