And the Whining Continues...The Slow Demise of Mcgill & Concordia Universities...Mamdani is Fulfilling His Promises...

It appears when politicians and the media don't like the narrative, they resort to whining.

This time it's the Montreal liberal-woke English radio media whining that JD Vance is getting fed by conservative MP Jamil Jivani who were roommates in university.  They are saying that Jivani, who is a conservative, is telling Vance what to say to rile up Canadians against the liberals. That Vance would never know that Canada's economy is stagnant unless someone told him. Really now.

Please find us one person who does not know that pretty boy Justin Trudeau ran the Canadian economy into the ground. And Carney? He was elected because he made people think he was the only one in the entire country who could deal with Trump. The smartest guy in the room.

Alas, Carney is not quite as smart as everyone (mostly he) thinks he is.

While running around the world to drum up business because the US dumped us, he was asked when was the last time he spoke to Trump. His response: Who cares?

Who cares?

The liberal/NDP woke talking heads first said that response was a breath of fresh air. Really? Sounds more like do you know who I am? Then they excused him because he was tired from all his traveling. Spare us the drivel.

He was elected purely to deal with Donald Trump and he failing. . After telling people not to buy anything American, not to vacation in America, after that stupid elbows up useless shtick, he's asking who cares?

Trump clearly understands Carney’s weaknesses and exploits them with ease. Meanwhile, Carney, calculating, aloof, and dripping with condescension tries to dodge Trump questions by belittling the interviewer. He wants people to think he's the smartest guy in the room.

He's not. He is arrogant and fooling no one.

McGill University has announced it is cutting out most of its sports programs. On the cutting block are badminton, baseball, fencing, field hockey, figure skating, golf, lacrosse, logger sports, nordic skiing, sailing, squash and tennis.

Here's a headline: We highly doubt McGill did not see this coming. The quebec government put the screws to English universities with out-of-province tuition increases, caps on international enrolment and new French-language requirements reshaping its budget.

But the real reason? Their donations are drying up.

Their Jewish alumni and anyone else with half a brain is no longer giving money to McGill. The unversity will blame the Quebec government, but that's the tip of the iceberg. Our dentist said when they called for a donation he told them they are getting not one cent from him.

Multiply that by thousands of professionals who have found other places to park their money and you get what is happening now at McGill. We're not even counting how many Jewish students have left that cesspool and transferred elsewhere. (read below).

Until the administration gets its act together, McGill will be cancelling a lot more than fencing and nordic skiing.

A letter landed in our inbox this morning and it captures exactly what’s rotting inside Canada’s universities.

Written by a young Concordia student with poise and honesty, it contains no drama, no embellishment. Just truth. We’re sharing one paragraph so you can see what passes for “higher learning” these days.

Having a Jewish professor, and a fellow grandchild of Holocaust survivors, double down on

that imbalance (pro-hamas, antisemitic) was the final straw.

I switched into your class hoping it would be better. You should know that Jewish students in the class sat shaking through your presentations, afraid of the academic consequences of speaking up because we know other have suffered academically and socially from doing so last year.

Many non-Jewish friends told me they were frustrated by the political circus every class turned into. We came to learn editing, media craft, and storytelling, not to be swept into a one sided ideological campaign.

She is now attending Communications at Reichman University (IDC) in Israel. This is the end of her letter:

And finally, I want to thank you, sincerely. You gave me the push I needed to get out, to find

an academic environment where I can learn, grow, and engage freely without fear or

shame.

We are losing the best, the brightest, the most creative. Good for her. She didn't act like a snowflake, sniveling around. She took matters into her own hands and went on with her life.

People in New York city better start getting some private security - and fast. mamdani just appointed Alex Vitale to his transition team. And who is Mr. Vitale? The author of a book entitled The End of Policing.

While he was running for mayor, mamdani dialed down his disdain for the police as even he realized it was not a good idea to go after them when he needed votes. Now that he has been elected, the gloves are off.

Vitale - as mamdani - envision a world where “modern policing” is broadly replaced by a combination of decriminalization and community empowerment. Vitale argues that policing is designed to reinforce inequality, and that giving police officers diversity training is not enough to bridge the gap.

He has called for the decriminalization of offences such as prostitution and drug use, and advocates for private corporations or government programs that would provide permanent housing for the homeless population.

He has repeatedly attacked Israel, claiming that Israelis are “occupying” land belonging to Palestinians and tied that in to his negative views on policing as well, complaining that American police should not be training with Israelis: “I’m not happy with these exchanges of policing to Israel. Israel is engaged in an occupation.”

After this appointment, the biggest problem now facing New York will be mass exodus of the NYPD. Police will simply retire or quit to take on private security jobs which, in a very short time, will be a booming industry.

Perhaps start looking for another destination other than New York city for your vacation.

...Greta Thunberg has been banned from Venice and fined 150 euros after pouring green dye into the grand canal harming the city's lagoon.

She did this to highlight 'the massive effects of climate collapse'.

We simply cannot make this stuff up. This woman is mentally unstable to put it mildly and the people egging her on will be responsible for whatever happens to her.

...In the tidbits department, Jennie Bryne is officially (and finally) out as campaign manager for Pierre Poilievre in the next federal election. Replacing her is a guy by the name of Steve Outhouse.

We can only say after reading his name that at some point in his family's history, someone should have officially changed their name. Outhouse? aka outdoor terlit? Seriously?

Aside from his name, we certainly hope that he does a better job of a) containing Poilievre b) not ticking off everyone within a foot of him and c) is able to pivot if things don't go exactly according to plan.

He best hit the ground running as once the holidays are over, Carney's minority government could fall at any time.

...It appears Carney is doing a cabinet shuffle and Melanie Joly is hoping to get the tony post of Ambassador to Paris. That is excellent news as then we would never have to see her again.

We'll talk...
