Hillary – The Gift that Keeps on Giving

The Mueller investigation is spiralling out of control. There are so many innuendos, suspicions, ‘secret talks’ and incriminating emails it is virtually impossible to keep track of everything. Of all the speculation, what we cannot believe is that people would send emails leaving a paper trail that, as everyone knows, is never erased, even when it’s erased.

Why Mueller is dragging this out for almost two years is anyone’s guess. It seems that he waited until the mid-terms, knowing that Trump would lose the House and then strike. January is the time to watch as that’s when everyone is back from vacation and if the other shoe is going to drop, that’s when it will most likely happen.

Some chilling statistics…According to a CNN/Comres survey, a huge number of Europeans still hold vitriolic anti-Semitic views, including thinking Jews have control of business, finance, media, and politics around the world, and exaggerating the number of Jews in order to buttress their conspiratorial theories.

The poll surveyed respondents in Austria, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Poland and Sweden.

Even more scary…one-third of Europeans said they knew little or nothing at all about the Holocaust. In France, roughly 20% of people between the ages of 18 and 34 never heard of the Holocaust. In Austria, that figure was 12%. In Poland and Hungary, roughly 40% of respondents felt Jews have too much influence in business and finance globally.

Our suggestion after reading all of this: Spend your vacation money in places not on these lists. Ergo, stay out of Europe, or at least go to Italy and stay out of the rest of the continent.

Of all the comments about the closure of five General Motors plants, one being in Oshawa Ontario, Justin Trudeau won the prize for the emptiest one.

GM workers have been part of the heart and soul of Oshawa for generations – and we’ll do everything we can to help the families affected by this news get back on their feet. Yesterday, I spoke with @GM’s Mary Barra to express my deep disappointment in the closure.

What exactly is he going to do to help the families of those losing their jobs? Give them unemployment insurance for a year? He’s not going to ask the rest of Canada to support them. Nor is he going to be able to convince GM to keep the plant open. It was an empty statement as usual because he has not a clue what to say unless someone writes the script and he can read it. At least we were spared the uh, uh, uh, uh, uh.

And in case you forgot, we all bailed out General Motors $60 billion in during the recession in 2009 to keep them going. A lot of good that did.

Did anyone see the lineups for the metro and trains today in the local paper? It seems that more people are taking the metro and there are either not enough trains or not enough room on those trains for everyone.

So exactly how is Madame the mayor Plante going to get people downtown if she eliminates 500 parking spots and makes the main shopping artery one lane?

We wonder if she has a window in her office or if she even goes outside. We are at the end of November and winter has been upon us for two weeks already. We have another five months to go. We would love to know how she thinks people are getting home after shopping if the metro and bus system is subpar and, quel surprise, bicycles are not an option. The woman needs a reality check.

Can someone please explain the genius who went to visit a tribe in a remote area of the world only to be killed by them? It was well known that they despise outsiders and have done them in before.

This dude thought he was going to bring them religion, saving them from who knows what. It is obvious he should have done his homework before trying to be the popeness.

Yesterday, the weather people predicted snowmaggedon. We were getting tons and tons of the white stuff. Airlines canceled flights, people hunkered down awaiting the nasty weather. Alas, said storm never materialized.

All of this to say that global warming aka climate change aka predictions of doom and gloom are non-starters. They cannot predict that a storm will veer a few miles east. How in the world can they predict that the glaciers will, in three hundred years, melt. Here’s a headline: They can’t.

Canada Post was legislated back to work. Good thing for them because had they stayed out indefinitely they could have caused their own demise.

We are a big proponent of online shopping. The post office rarely delivers our parcels. It is almost always private companies, who deliver without fanfare. They just get the job done. Perhaps the post office could learn a thing or two from those companies.

Hillary Clinton is the best thing that ever happened to Donald Trump and she is the gift that keeps on giving. While in London last week…

“I think Europe needs to get a handle on migration because that is what lit the flame. I admire the very generous and compassionate approaches that were taken particularly by leaders like Angela Merkel, but I think it is fair to say Europe has done its part, and must send a very clear message – ‘we are not going to be able to continue provide refuge and support…”

Seriously? This is exactly what the Donald is saying. There is no doubt that the Democratic Party would like to her sail away into the night – with her beloved Bill – and never come back. There is also no doubt that unless she is carried away kicking and screaming, she’s not going anywhere.

We’ll talk…
