The Israeli political system is nothing that we are familiar with. It relies on a coalition of several parties rather than one party winning everything in a general election. Which means we will not know for a few days or maybe a couple of weeks who will form the next government in Israel.

It is to be noted that this is the first election since October 7.

One reason is that Bibi knows a new government will launch the independent inquiry Israelis have been demanding for the past three years: an investigation into how a massacre on the scale of October 7 could have happened and who bears responsibility.

As of this writing, the exit polls are showing that the Likud party led by Bibi with 50 seats, the Yashar party, led by Eisenkot with 53 seats. Holding some of the balance of power are the two arab parties: Ra'am and the Joint List.

After the election, representatives of all the parties go to President Herzog and suggest who should be the party leader to try to form a government via a coalition. It is widely assumed that Eisenkot will be the first chosen to try to do this.

It appears that the arab parties may hold a good part of the balance of power to enable Eisenkot to become Prime Minister. And what do the arab parties want? For the most part, nothing to do with a two-state solution. Rather, they are concerned with domestic affairs, standard of living, rampant crime, schools and better services from Israel.

The numbers as of this writing are from the exit polls. The vote count will not be known for a few days. Nonetheless, President Herzog will probably ask either Eisenkot or Bibi try to form a coalition before the final results are in.

Our take? Bibi has been in power for 19 years. It's time for someone else to take over.

Eisenkot is a center-right wing guy who would be a good choice to replace Bibi. It is to be noted that Eisenkot lost his son and a nephew fighting in Gaza.

No matter what happens in Israel, there are people in the world like Mark Carney, Macron et al who should who be reminded that Israel is the only democracy in the middle east.

People living in Toronto better suck it up for the next four or five years. Olivia Chow, who was re-elected as mayor for a second term, is clearly popular with the woke, liberal, tree-hugging, turtle-saving, LBGTQ++2 people. It appears Toronto has a lot of wokies, which is why she won by a wide margin. Mind boggling.

That people think it is normal for her to parade around as mayor half naked in gay pride parades is not normal. Or to run to mosques, put on a hijab and suck up to the muslims community.

That Olivia Chow couldn’t find the time to attend even one Jewish event, including any of the three marking the October 7 massacre in Israel while antisemitism is rising in Toronto is disgraceful. And she doesn’t even apologize. She simply gives the Jewish community the middle finger and moves on.

Wokies are happy with people like Chow and Carney, both of whom have mastered the art of looking compassionate while openly and with no shame dismissing the concerns of Canadians who don’t fit neatly into their preferred political narrative. And don't bother trying to talk to them. It's their narrative or no narrative.

On a completely different note and far away from politics, we are avid NFL football fans and not just the Super Bowl, but the entire season.

What we cannot, for the life of us understand, are the endless and often sole ads during the games encouraging people to pick up their phone and bet on different parts of the game.

Not only who will win, but will the quarterback get injured, who will score the first touchdown, who will miss their field goal attempt. There are endless possibilities to put money down on.

Gambling is an illness. A real one and a terrible one. People lose their homes, their lives, go into debt for years and many wind up homeless because they lost everything by gambling. Is there no one running America that has even half a brain to put an end to this?

Perhaps the people who choose to run those ads should attend a few Gamblers Anonymous meetings and listen to the devastating toll gambling addiction has taken on people’s lives and families.

Kamala Harris thinks she is helping New Hampshire democrats by campaigning for them. The saying the gift that keeps on giving has Kamala Harris's face on it is a gross understatement. She has single-handedly brought that line to life again.

We hope she doesn't ever stop campaigning. She is possibly, aside from Biden, the best thing that ever happened to the republicans. And, for the bonus round, she has not ruled out running for president again.

Frankly, we can't wait for that.

There will be endless, and we mean endless word salads as the one she just delivered in New Hampshire. In fact, there are people who keep track of her word salads which seem to be getting stranger by the day.

What is astounding is that she has absolutely no self-awareness.

She wins the prize for being the biggest mushroom in the room where everyone is feeding her bs. We were going to write what she said, but decided to save the words for something that actually matters. Just keep praying that she stays in the game.

The Harry and Meghan show keeps getting sadder and sadder.

Her father was, for the second or third time, exposed as having child porn in his possession. Absolutely disgusting. It appears she knew about this and kept her children far from him.

The British papers have put this story front and center, forcing the couple to flee their new home for an unknown location 'overseas'. When we say Meghan was the worst thing that ever happened to Harry, it appears we were on the mark.

There are now rumors floating around the media that the couple is not planting very long roots in England. One of the reasons is the frigid shoulder, (rather than cold shoulder), the two of them got from both William and the King. It appears Australia is beckoning. For sure the rest of the family would be elated if they left for the other side of the world.

Harry wants to make amends with his family, yet keeps mouthing off to the media. He's not doing himself any favors. You want to make some semblance of peace? Shut up. Just be quiet for a few months. Let some of the dust settle and then go quietly, humbly to your father.

Unfortunately, as long as he is married to Meghan, that will never happen. Ever. Harry will continue to live a pathetically sad life, estranged from a family who he probably loves.

We'll talk...
