Keep Pushing...The Carbon Tax is Reset. It is Not Abolished...Housefather is Slippery...

The polls would have us believe that the collapse of the NDP and Bloc is not great news for the Conservatives.

The Nanos polls have Carney in the lead.

The Abacus polls have them in a tie.

The Globe and Mail have Carney 15 points ahead of Poilievre.

So who do you believe?

We are not sugar-coating the Trump factor since Carney took over from Justin and that is a huge part of the issue.

What we cannot fathom is that people want more woke, more of the same spending your money on ridiculous save the planet campaigns. That they want more money sent to the 'poor people of gaza' when the entire world knows it goes directly to hamas. It never, ever reached the people and never will.

Alas, people were so sick of Justin that anybody, well maybe not Chrystia Freeland, was going to get a big bump in the polls.

Don't be fooled. Carney is a wolf in sheep's clothing and will say or do anything to get elected.

One has to wonder exactly how stupid Housefather thinks the Jewish community is.

Since October 7 Jewish organizations have petitioned every level of government for help funding security in Jewish institutions. What does little Anthony do?

Seventeen months later Housefather comes out with a blurb taking credit for some of the funding. Low dude. Very low.

Then he recently took a photo using the area that honors the hostages at the Federation building, using them to further his campaign. We can tell you from our sources that those who march every Sunday for the hostages are livid. He has not once gone to march with them.

And finally, perhaps the worst of all, Housefather proudly posted that he has been named parliamentary secretary to Anita Anand.

Here's what she said recently: “We will make sure that we do not allow the forced displacement of people, from their land, including in Gaza.”

This is what he is proud of? Anand supporting the people of gaza who were complicit in the kidnapping and brutality of the Jews on October 7. Ask the hostages who were beaten by men, women and children in gaza.

Housefather does not deserve one Jewish vote.

The other issue is that people over 55 years old cannot find it within themselves to change parties.

The foolish adage that my great-grandfather was a liberal, my grandfather was a liberal, my father was a liberal and I'm a liberal should be put to bed forever. It is simply ridiculous. Get over it.

The liberal party is not what it was when your ancestors voted for them. They are woke, uber left, much more socialist. It's high time for a change.

As for the Trump issue, here's our take: Carney speaks in a slow motion, deadpan voice which is non-confrontational. To Trump that translates as he's a nice guy who likes me. And to Trump if you like him you are his friend for those five minutes.

Carney is a sly snake and knows exactly how to fool Trump. It will not last.

We are waiting for the moment when he loses it. And when people like Carney lose it, it is very ugly. He's a stone-cold person who can rip people to shreds. If Trump ever gets wind of that part of Carney, the gloves will be off again.

And if you think the carbon tax is not coming back if Carney gets in, take the needle out of your arm. It is coming back in spades with another name.

All Carney did was put it on hold. He never killed that tax and will never do it. Because Justin basically bankrupted our country, Carney is going to need that money big time. There is no way it will disappear. Gas prices will be taxed for both personal and business use, probably worse than the carbon tax.

As for the housing issue in Canada, Carney is promising billions of dollars to create new housing projects.

Now would you look at that - it was the liberal government that brought in tens of thousands of immigrants - unvetted - who created the housing shortage in the first place.

Now he thinks he's looking like a hero by promising money for housing? It boggles the mind how people are buying his bs. And it truly is bs.

What could change the channel is if people get out and vote. And that's where we all come in.

Voting is what will defeat the liberal party. The Mount Royal riding's conservative candidate is Neil Oberman. The Westmount candidate is Neil Drabkin. Vote for them and vote out the liberals.

Stop moaning and groaning about what the polls are showing.

Tomorrow is tariff day. You do know that Trump pushed this off one day because he didn't want to announce anything on April fools.

One thing we can say - the US cannot possibly have enough wood to rebuild all those homes that were burned to the ground in California a few months ago. If Trump puts a 25% tariff on our wood going into the US, it is not us who will suffer. It is his own people trying to rebuild.

As for the auto industry, both sides of the border will suffer with huge increases in the price of cars. It takes years to get a new parts factory built so the US will have no choice but to pay the 25% tariff on parts then pass that cost onto the public.

Trump is an interesting dude, however, this time he could use a reset button.
