Mark Carney, Our Emperor, Is Slowly Losing His Clothes...A Sharia Run US City...Ageism...

Blanche has some highly intelligent, thoughtful and insightful readers. As such we were sent an article written by Peter Shurman. His name may ring a bell as he was once a the general manager at CJAD. He moved to Ontario decades ago and was a member of the Ontario conservative party where he won the riding of Thornhill in 2007.
Mr. Shurman wrote an article about Mark Carney and summed up the essence of we have been trying to say for the past year.
He first posits that when Carney was elected, people breathed a sigh of relief. At last Canada had an adult in the room leading the country. Not an airhead with fancy socks. He then went on to say that everyone is very well aware of how smart Mark Carney is. Including of course, Mark Carney. Keep reading.
"...The problem is that many are beginning to wonder whether he (Carney) understands how unsettling he sounds to people whose lives are becoming materially worse while they are told to prepare for “transition,” “restructuring,” “catalyzing change,” and a “new world order.”
That phrase alone should have set off alarms inside any competent political operation.
“New world order.”
"...They hear powerful people discussing systems ordinary citizens neither designed nor approved. They hear “other people”…people with multiple homes, protected pensions, international portfolios, and private drivers calmly explaining why everyone else’s life is about to become more expensive “for the future.”
...What Canadians want right now is not a wink from the high table. They do not want to be told there are “complex realities” beyond their comprehension.
Our favorite line of all: “...the smartest guy in the room” syndrome becomes politically toxic.
The smartest person in the room often stops reading the room.
Bingo.
Mark Carney thinks so highly of himself, thinks he is so smart, that he believes he has convinced the majority of the plebs in Canada that only he knows what is good for them and what they need. Alas, people are slowly, ever so slowly waking up. And when that happens, he will find the people he governs are no longer on the same page or even in the same book as him.
Exactly when Canadians will come out of their stupor and figure this out is anyone's guess. Clearly he's dropping the ball on the CUSMA deal and if you read the lines above, you can now see that he thinks throwing out complex jargon to regular Canadians is going to make them think he's going to make a deal shortly.
No, he's not. That jargon is smoke and mirrors. We will reiterate what we have been writing for the past year.
To get elected he fooled everyone with his holier-than-thou attitude. However, slowly but surely the emperor's clothes are starting to come off. Eventually we will see what he really is and what we are going to be faced with yet again.
An emperor with no clothes.

Most likely you have never heard of Hamtramck Michigan. It is a suburb of Detroit and now has the distinction of being the first US city to be completely overrun by islamists and turned into a full sharia parallel society. It is completely ruled by an all-Muslim, all-male council.
The takeover is total. Police recruitment and traffic signs appear in Arabic. The department posts “Eid Mubarak” messages with officers in hijabs. There are massive Eid carnivals, and Ramadan lights.
Businesses operate as a parallel economy with stores, pharmacies, markets, and medical offices advertising and functioning almost exclusively in Arabic.
So here's the question. If these people so want an arabic city under sharia law, why are they living in the US? We'll tell you.
Because in their home countries they would be under the thumb of the regime in power. In the US they are free as birds to do whatever their little hearts desire which, as you read above, shows that dreams do come true. Perverted.

Canada has a new governor general. She's from Quebec and would you look at, she can speak both English and French.
From looking at her first interview it is clear Governor General Louise Arbour is an intelligent, elegant and professional woman. Unlike the last two beauties - Julie Payette who wrote the book on drama queens and Mary Simon who was as bland as white bread and mayonnaise.
Madame Arbour is 79 years old and good for her that she's taking on this 4 year stint. She has a brain, is able to speak intelligently and throws the word ageism out the window.
However and this is a big however, aside from that good part, there's another part that makes us very nervous. You can imagine Mr. Carney did not choose a conservative to be his governor general. Ergo, Madame Arbour has to be very liberal. The big question is how left of left she is.
Frankly it doesn't really matter much as her role is almost totally for show. Given that, we wonder how close to our sneaky prime minister and his 'new world order' she really is. Time will tell.

Speaking of ageism, we heard about an in-your-face case.
Someone in Toronto has played in an executive baseball league for over 30 years, no mean feat. This person is now 75 years old, still completely capable of playing and was told a week before the season started that he was no longer welcome to play. You're out in the true sense of the words.
The reason?
Two players too many registered. So instead of doing the fair thing and cutting the last two people who registered, the commissioner of the league and his cohorts cut the two oldest players. And that peeps is outright ageism.
Here's a headline for the people running this league:
They best take a long, hard look in the mirror because in ten years, when they’re pushing 75, they’d better hope their team and even their own families don’t treat them as disposable, the same way they’ve treated everyone else.
We'll talk...
