Better late than never. It's been a day...
***

At least someone has a half a brain. A judge in New York, specifically Staten Island, temporarily blocked the rollout of Mamdani’s controversial pied-à-terre tax.
The temporary restraining order requires the city to remove its published tax roll, which contains more than 900,000 properties, and bars officials from taking further action on approximately 17,000 warning notices already sent to property owners.
Mamdani is out to “get” the rich, to paint them as entitled, arrogant, let-them-eat-cake elitists.
The irony is hard to miss. In this story, the arrogance isn’t coming from the people he’s targeting. It’s coming from Mamdani himself, the politician who apparently believes he gets to decide who has too much, who deserves to be vilified and who should pay for his political agenda.
If anyone is behaving like an entitled piece of drek, look no further.
It was under his order that a searchable tax roll containing information on roughly 900,000 properties was published. The Department of Finance has said that the vast majority of properties on the roll are not subject to the surcharge and that only roughly 17,000 property owners who received warning letters are potentially subject to it.
What exactly are we talking about here?
People with money who live, let's say in Chicago and sometimes come to NY or have kids in university in NY. As such, they bought an apartment in New York called a pied-a-terre - a second home.
Much to the chagrin of Mr. Mamdani, these people have the money to buy a second property, furnish it and pay taxes on it. Why does he care what they do? What is his business if someone has apartments in ten cities? We'll tell you. It's none of his business.
He's a communist who believes that taking away money from the rich and giving it to the poor will help the latter. No it won't because it will never get to the poor. It will be intercepted by bureaucrats, including Mamdani himself.
Good luck to everyone who voted Mamdani into Gracie Mansion.
We thought we had read or seen a lot in our life, but this is on another level.

A religious Israeli man wanted to get away for a few days to clear his head. He started searching for safe places to go and a lightbulb went off in head. How about starting a website called Safe for Jews? And that's exactly what he did.
Here's the link: https://safeforjews.org/en. It will tell you which countries are safe to visit and which countries to avoid. Guess which country should be avoided? Canada.
He is not hysterical in his warnings. He tells it like it is making you then able to decide if you want to go to a city that is friendly to Jews or not.
So Montreal and Toronto are not safe places to go. Frankly, there are very few safe places, Monaco, Cyprus and Portugal are a few.
This is an amazing site that should be widely publicized for Jews.

Talk about entitled. Mamdani is mad at his city because they won't send protection when his wife travels to visit her family in Lebanon and Syria. Both countries are unsafe for Americans. Seriously?
Rama Duwaji is heading to Syria and Lebanon next month, and - get this one - expected to bring along police assigned to the 'first couple’s' taxpayer-funded NYPD detail. Oh really now.
It is to be noted that both countries are on the US State Department’s “Do Not Travel” list due to security concerns. However, Mamdani's wife is such a virulent antisemite our guess is that she will received with wide, open arms.
Do-you-know-who-I-am has taken on a whole new level. In the end, she will travel to these countries without a security detail. And who is she again?

Mr. Paul St-Pierre Plamondon can put it where the sun don't shine. In spades.
Who is he to say, pandering to the English vote in Quebec that we are all in the same boat? The only boat he is in is the Titanic and we are certainly not on board that ship.
He thinks that by talking nicely to the English people of quebec who have been stomped on for the past 50 years they will suddenly turn around and say of course we want a separate quebec. Of course we want to give up our Canadian passports. Of course we want to end the billions of dollars in transfer payments from Ottawa which keep Quebec afloat. Of course we want our economy to tank to the bottom of the ocean with the Titanic.
No to all of the above and a big NO to Mr. Plamondon. We suggest very strongly that he take his message to those in quebec who have not a clue what it means to separate from the rest of Canada.
Quebec will become the 51st within a year of separating or it will become like Cuba. What a freaking moron.
We'll talk...
