Now What?...Crossing the Floor...Rachel Bendayan - Feh...

It wasn’t a surprise that Mamdani was going to be elected the new mayor of New York City. The polls incessantly showed him winning.

And it’s also no surprise that he did so as an openly pro-Hamas, openly antisemitic, BDS-loving marxist-jihadist. He kept telling people that's who he was. With a smile.

What’s equally unsurprising? He’s never held a job in his life.

You read that right. The man has never worked a day in his life and now he’s running one of the most important cities in the world.

One of Mamdani’s “brilliant” communist fairy tale ideas is to open state-run corner groceries.

In New York, those small shops are called bodegas, run by hardworking owners who pay rent and taxes. Under his plan, the government would open competing stores that pay no rent and no tax, completely subsidized by the state. Who foots that bill? You guessed it, taxpayers. And the bodega owners are toast.

Another stroke of brilliance: his “$30 by 30” plan doubling the city’s minimum wage from $16.50 to $30 an hour by 2030.

Currently, New York raises the minimum wage by 50 cents a year. Under Mamdani’s scheme, it would skyrocket by about $3.50 annually. And who exactly is going to hire someone to flip burgers, pump gas or wash cars for $30 an hour?

The answer is the same as with the bodegas: the people paying taxes will end up funding the difference.

We could go on and on, but here’s the shocking bottom line: after all is said and done, Mamdani is exactly where he’s supposed to be — mayor of New York City. And Trump is exactly where he’s supposed to be - president of the United States.

Because in the end, G-d runs the world and has a plan. We don’t see the plan. We don’t understand the plan. We don’t even like the plan. But it’s His plan. One day we might understand or we may never understand.

To illustrate this we will use the Jewish holiday of Purim. Haman wanted to destroy the Jews. Annihilate them from the face of the earth. (Sound familiar?) He made the lives of Jews in Persia a misery. In the end, the Jews, thanks to Esther, won the day and we have celebrated the holiday of Purim since that time.

Why was not a question that was asked then. What can we do with what we have is the question. Who is going to lead us out of our situation?

So if you’re a Jew thinking of leaving New York your options are getting slimmer. Florida’s full of New Yorkers who ran there during covid. The governor of Texas told New Yorkers to stay home. Arizona’s one possibility. Or Israel with it's own set of issues to put it mildly.

Perhaps think about this: This is not a time to run away and give up. This is a time to gather together and fight for what is right.

As most people know, the grass is not greener on the other side.

Every place has its good and bad. Mamdani is bad but won’t be there forever. Yes, he can do damage while he’s in power and that will be sad for New York. But like everything else, this too shall pass.

Crossing the floor from one party to another is a big deal. Mostly because people voted, in good faith no less, for a person belonging to one party. And then, just like that, the person jumps ship to the other party, which his constituents did not vote for. If we lived in that riding, we would be mighty ticked off.

Before launching into this person, we must say a word about Anthony Housefather who in the end didn't do anything when his party under Justin and now under Carney made very clear that they view Israel as the aggressor in this latest war.

While the values of the liberal party aligned with Housefather, their stance on Israel was opposite of what he believed, almost impossible to swallow.

No less than Irwin Cotler strongly suggested he sit as an independent, in other words, get out of that party. Alas, Anthony could not find the kahoonas to do anything and so he's now in a party that keeps going after Israel and he remains silent.

Mr. Chris d'Entremont who was voted in as a conservative and crossed the floor this week to help keep the liberals afloat, is an entire other kettle of fish.

We don't believe for half a second that the conservative values no longer aligned with his. He just woke up? Come on. He has been a conservative for two decades. The election was six months ago. He didn't know six months ago that he disagreed with Poilievre?

Mr. d'Entremont is an opportunist coupled with the fact that he may be thinking Poilievre may not win the next election.

He knew that Carney was 3 votes short of a majority. Now with him in the party, they are only 2 votes short. There is no doubt that in a couple of months he will be handsomely rewarded for doing what he did.

It's not the same as the reason for Anthony to cross the floor. This dude is doing what is good for his career and has nothing to do with aligning anywhere.

Francesca Albanese, the UN's de facto spokesperson for Hamas, says she can no longer use a credit card, rent a car, or open a bank account, due to the historic U.S. decision to sanction her.

“I am treated almost like Osama bin Laden, and I find it horrible, horrible!”

Really? Here's our suggestion: Move to gaza with a one way ticket. Or Iran.

Or any other country that uses sharia law, which is in fact what she is shilling for.

This is the mayor of Toronto. Where is she? Tackling the non-existent islamophobia in Toronto where Jews get physically attacked, bloodied, and harassed daily.

Where she has refused to acknowledge or condemn the violent antisemitic attack against Jews and Israelis yesterday at Toronto Metropolitan University.

We particularly 'like' that she covered her hair while sitting in front of barefoot muslims. Ya think Mamdani is bad? She's not much better.

And here is Rachel Bendayan, another Jew in Carney's liberal party who not only shills for Carney, but, as per this picture. sucked up big time to the 'floor crosser'.

We are guessing she wants to be in his orb to get the crumbs of influence now that he’s the new darling of the Liberal circus.

No shortage of Jews in the our government seem to have forgotten where they came from.

And finally, the memes coming out of New York are priceless. This is one of them. We can't tell you to enjoy it, but it's good.

Prince Harry has apologized to Canada for wearing that LA Dodgers baseball cap at a world series game.

He said he was 'under duress'. The only person sitting with him wearing an LA Dodgers cap was his wife Meghan. Not that we are reading anything into this, but we're reading something into this.

Good Shabbos
