Seriously? It's come down to this?
In the pages of the Montreal Gazette yesterday, Anthony Housefather took a final, petty swipe, accusing Neil Oberman of running a dirty campaign in the Mount Royal riding. Is he not aware that he won?
Did no one ever teach him that winners graciously thank their supporters, volunteers and those who voted for him and - get this - move on.
Alas...
For the first time in his political life, Housefather faced a real opponent in Neil Oberman —someone with integrity, grit, and the backing of a motivated community.
The article noted that while votes were being counted, Housefather "retreated" to his office and sat alone for most of the night.
We’ll tell you what really happened: he was terrified that he might actually lose the job he sold out his own Jewish community to keep. Meanwhile, his team—who worked tirelessly for weeks—were left outside the door. That is the antithesis of leadership.
Neil Oberman ran an energetic, principled campaign. He knocked on thousands of doors, and was the biggest cheerleader for his volunteers, always staying positive. All the while he continued to fight for students on campus and Jewish institutions in our city who are facing very real and escalating antisemitism.
To accuse Neil of running a “dirty” campaign is both dishonest and disgraceful. If Anthony Housefather has even a shred of integrity, he would issue an apology to Neil for that accusation.
To help him along, we’re offering to buy him a mirror so he can spend a moment gazing at the only person he seems to take seriously: himself. If he looks closely, he might notice that neither he nor his team were exactly paragons of virtue during this campaign.
Case in point: the incident in a local apartment building’s party room, where his close ally, Côte St. Luc Mayor Mitchell Brownstein, behaved in a manner that was anything but exemplary.
So how did Housefather win?
Not from the support of the majority of the Jewish community. He won thanks to blocks of voters in Cote des Neiges (mostly immigrants) and TMR - none of whom could give a hoot about Jewish or Israeli issues. It is not remotely on their radar.
And by people who cannot see past their nose to vote anything but liberal. Sad, very sad. And very uniformed.

Many people are asking Neil what he plans to do now.
Yes, he will go back to his successful law practice, but they are referring to his activism for the Jewish community.
All we can say - insider info - is stay tuned.
Neil is not going anywhere and will remain actively involved in what is happening in our city vis-a-vis the Jewish community.
Let's just say positions in municipal politics are changing this year.

Jews continue to make the world a better, safer place.
In the latest breakthrough in life-saving technology, Team Protect is making the Israeli-developed Coral Mylo AI drowning detection system available at a significantly reduced price—well below market value.
This state-of-the-art system uses underwater cameras powered by artificial intelligence to detect signs of drowning in real time, sounding an immediate alarm when every second counts.
“When we simulated drowning scenarios, the system detected them instantly, providing crucial early warning.”
“Our vision is simple. We want every camp, school, home, and community pool to benefit from this advanced protection system. It also makes a meaningful gift—one that could literally save a life.”
While this device will help save lives, no device replaces vigilant adult supervision, proper fencing, and water safety education. But this tool adds a powerful new layer of protection.
Once again, Jewish innovation makes the world better for everyone. We ask you - what has islam done for the world other than create chaos? Ask those moronic hamas-loving protesters.

We had nearly finished writing this piece when this morning’s paper arrived and we had to start from scratch.
On Tuesday night, barely 24 hours after the election, an email appeared in our inbox. As soon as we read it, we knew: this was written by a human, but it had AI fingerprints all over it making it sharper, very angry and unmistakably deliberate.
And then came today’s National Post. On the front page, above the fold - that’s prime real estate in newspaper land - a long story about the furious anger of western Canada and how Premier Danielle Smith plans to make it easier for Albertans to initiate a referendum on the province’s future. Why now?
Because the West is rumbling. Loudly.
Monday night’s election results were a breaking point for many in Western Canada. As the email we received so vividly laid out, the mood out west is turning—and fast. Western Canadians, who voted nearly 95% Conservative, are furious. Not just frustrated, furious. Quebec no longer has the distinction of being the only province to want to separate.
The letter was unsigned - we’re not fans of anonymous tirades - but it captured a mood that’s spreading. Westerners aren’t done with the Liberal Party. If today’s headlines and the letter we got are any indication, some of them might be done with Canada altogether.
Below are a few snippets of the roiling text..
...Then there’s the Longest Ballot Committee, a pack of infantile pranksters who turned our sacred electoral process into a circus, clogging ballots with fake candidates and wasting millions in taxpayer money on their asinine stunt. Seniors complained they had difficulties voting because of the 1 metre long ballot. This wasn’t activism—it was sabotage, and your party’s refusal to denounce it screams of your willingness to let chaos reign if it pads your vote.
We’re livid, Carney, and we demand these clowns be dragged into court for their reckless vandalism of our democracy.
...Western Canada is ready to erupt. From Alberta to Saskatchewan to British Columbia, we are beyond fed up with your Liberal elite sneering at us, gutting our industries, and strangling our way of life. Saskatchewan and Alberta, the beating heart of Canada’s agriculture and energy, is seething with righteous anger at your party’s relentless assault on our livelihoods.
You dare to lecture us on “sustainability” while choking our farmers and oil workers with your globalist nonsense?
...The talk of separation isn’t just chatter anymore - it’s a wildfire, and we’re ready to burn the Confederation to the ground if it means escaping your toxic grip. You and your Liberal party ignored us for too long, Carney, and we’re done begging for scraps from your Ottawa ivory tower.
...Don’t get me started on the CBC, that taxpayer-funded propaganda mill that’s become your personal cheerleading squad.
...Your policy record is a dumpster fire, and we’re not falling for it again. Your time at the Bank of England was a primer in failure, steering Britain into economic chaos during Brexit with your elitist schemes. Canadians see through your carbon tax obsession and your $130 billion deficit binge, set to bleed us dry until 2029.
You think you can bring that same reckless, corporate-coddling garbage here? Think again. We’re not the UK, and we won’t let you bury us under your failed experiments or your rumored Beijing connections, as your critics scream. Try it, and you’ll face a rebellion that’ll make your head spin.
Like we said, this was clearly written by a human, just polished with AI. Canadians have elected a stranger. Yes, he was once governor of the Bank of Canada, but let’s be honest: did anyone really know him beyond being a banker managing a fortune of money - billions of that his own?
We’re about to see whether he’s truly up to the job — or if, as we noted Tuesday, he was parachuted in to serve the WEF/Davos agenda.
And we especially appreciated the CBC comment - a perfect center dart hit.
Carney won’t get emotional over anything Trump says. He won’t be a twinkie like Justin.
But his do-you-know-who-I-am attitude when faced with tough questions will not go over even an inch with Trump. If he pulls that stunt, Carney will get steamrolled, just like Justin did. We won’t have to wait long to see how this unfolds.
And Carney has very little time to cool things off in Western Canada — or a few provinces might start taking that 51st state option.

It appears that the wave of wildfires across Israel was no accident. At least 18 men have been arrested for deliberately setting fires throughout the country.
The timing wasn’t random either. It was not chosen to coincide with Yom HaZikaron—the day dedicated to remembering Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism.
No, it was chosen because the arsonists were watching the weather forecast.
With high winds, extreme heat, and dry conditions sweeping the country, it was the perfect storm. All it takes is a spark in a dry patch of brush—and acres of land go up in flames within minutes.
Now, reports are circulating of coordinated calls on social media encouraging more arson attacks “for Gaza.” This is terrorism using nature against a civilian population.
Our suggestion: One more person starts a fire, Israel goes into gaza and burns the whole place down. Get rid of it. It's a cancer on the world anyway.

A Final Tidbit:
We were sent a clip circulating on Instagram featuring Mike Cohen—a local newspaper columnist, blogger, marketing specialist, and city councillor in Côte St. Luc.
In it, Cohen is seen interviewing Anthony Housefather and openly accusing Neil Oberman of running a dirty campaign. No surprise there—Cohen is closely aligned with Mayor Mitchell Brownstein, one of Housefather’s most vocal allies.
But here's the issue: to level such a serious accusation without offering a single concrete example isn’t just irresponsible—it’s disgraceful.
They’re going after the wrong guy. Neil Oberman is a seasoned, polished, and highly competent lawyer. If they want to start tossing around false claims, they’d be wise to tread carefully.
Reckless words have consequences—and this smear campaign is making them all look petty, desperate, and deeply unserious.
Good Shabbos
We'll talk...
Very good article. Sadly the immigrant vote strikes back. Sadly, most have no concept of how Leftardism: Socialism/Communism is entirely responsible for the collapse and defiling of this once great country. "Political Correctness" - coined in 1929 by Joseph Stalin....then "Multiculturalism" which crushes any host nation's culture while promoting all others over and above that of the nation's. This is why Pierre Trudeau initiated the above while further opening our borders to all the NON-democratic, UN-civilizied and ANTI-Western societies/religions/countries. Trudeau "The Elder" and his Communist agenda peddling has never been confronted or destroyed but catered to and expanded by the "Conservative" Party. This tells me that we, like the American's, for the past 60+ years have had a thoroughly cont…
