We are very happy for Pierre Poilievre that he got strong support from the converted at the conservative convention this past weekend. That was never in doubt. What is however, is his relatability to the rest of Canada aka ROC.
While he is wildly popular in his own party, he polls very far down the ladder in personal popularity when put up against Mark Carney. The conservative party is strong, but the leader is weak. And that people, is what counts in the voting booth.
He did change his campaign manager and hopefully that will help. However, we humbly suggest that there are two immediate things his party has to do:
Polievre has to stop sounding the same as he did two years ago and find something fresh to say. And he has to say Trump's name and perhaps give some ideas as to what he would do with him as prime minister. That is the big elephant in the room and the reason he lost the election.
The second thing his party must do is top parading Andrew Scheer in news shows. Scheer is a very sweet guy but he's not a winner and frankly way to white bread and mayonnaise. They need to get someone out there with a personality, who can connect with the people who Poilievre cannot.
Get them to know that there is more to the conservative party than boring white men in suits.
Yes, he is correct that the bread and butter issues are, in the end, what counts. But it's also true that Donald Trump is one of the big reasons we are where we are and Poilievre has to show the ROC that he is not only able, but better able to handle him along with the other issues.
People must believe that he is prime minister material and right now they don't.

Bravo to the students of Concordia university. Not only have they gone to that cesspool of Jew-hating, hamas-loving morons for the past two years, they have now documented, for all to see, what is really happening there.
A new student-run website taking aim at what it says has been a long-ignored problem at Concordia University: antisemitism.
Launched in the wake of the October 7 massacre, the site is designed as a permanent archive documenting antisemitic incidents on campus, many of which students say were minimized or overlooked.
The platform traces the history of antisemitism at Concordia and houses a growing archive of verified incidents, including photos and video evidence. Visitors can also submit reports of incidents, all of which are reviewed and verified before being added, ensuring the record cannot be dismissed, rewritten, or erased.
We have said this before and will repeat it again: If you went to Concordia and are still giving money there, you should be hanging your head in shame. It needs an overhaul from top to bottom and until that happens, should receive not a cent from anyone.

Hey Anthony Housefather, where are you? Quivering under your desk? Afraid to speak up because Carney will smack you down?
Did you know the Israeli Hockey Tournament that was to take place in Toronto in February has been canceled because of threats from pro Hamas supporters?
As long as the Government of Canada allows Hamas supporters to threaten Jews and Israelis with no consequences, they are complicit in the Jew-hating. Part of it. And Anthony, this is your party with your silent leader.
Here's part of the official statement: This decision did not come lightly. After evaluating several factors beyond our direct control related to the planning and execution of the event, we determined that postponing the game is the most responsible course of action for our players, staff, partners, and fans.
The words beyond our direct control refer to our government choosing to turn a blind eye to overt, antisemitic, Jew-haters going after Israelis.
The Israeli Hockey Tournament will move on to the USA bypassing our country. And our leadership is silent. Shame on you Housefather and your party.

New York's new mayor, Zohran Mamdani is getting a dose of reality. It appears that because of the massive snowfall, which as you can see by the photo is long gone, garbage pickup was delayed. Ya think?
Mr. Mamdani clearly doesn't realize that the buck stops at his desk and so, when we read this next quote, we realized he's in way over his head:
A sanitation worker picking up recyclables along the block described confusion within the department. “We don’t know what we’re picking up when we come in in the morning,” the worker said. “We set up for one thing at night and then the next morning they sent us out with a totally different job.”
And why is that happening? Because in NYC the sanitation department doubles as the snow clearing department and they have been clearing the foot of snow and ice that fell last Sunday. That would be one week and two days ago.
Mr. Mamdani has no idea how to delegate nor find out who is responsible for what. In front of his house, Gracie Mansion, there was an 8 foot pile of garbage which was taken away today. The street above is 88th Avenue in the upper east side.
Here's a piece of advice: Stay way from NYC for the next while until they get this mess cleaned up. Otherwise you will probably find yourself dodging the rats sharing the garbage with other animals. Feh.
Oh and one more thing about NYC. A couple of weeks ago there was a deep freeze and 16 homeless people died. Why?
Mr. Mamdani’s refusal to allow involuntary removals. He says they are “unworkable”. What he didn't realize was that they are also deadly.
By framing homelessness primarily as a housing issue, rather than confronting the realities of untreated mental illness and addiction, his “voluntary-first” approach abandoned those who are incapable of making rational decisions, leaving them to perish in the cold.
And that is exactly what happened.

In the waiting-for-the-other-shoe-to-drop department, the NFL's commissioner Roger Goodell promised that Super Bowl halftime performer Bad Bunny would refrain from spouting divisive rhetoric during the half-time show on Sunday.
That statement alone would make us want to watch it.
Let's start with this: Bad Bunny is in reality a Puerto Rican singer, whose real name is Benito Ocasio and he is planning to wear a dress to the half-time show.
He recently referred to ICE agents as “motherf*ckers” and “sons of b*tches” but said he won't do that on Sunday. And if you believe that, we have swampland to sell you in Florida.
We are not betting on anything connected to football during the superbowl but we might have to bet on whether Bad Bunny is going to cause the networks to quickly run to their commercials during his 'performance'.

We have written very little about the Epstein files as we don't want to give that lowlife any more attention than is absolutely necessary. But the news in the past few days was just too juicy to pass up.
Andrew aka Prince Andrew is still trying to say he wasn't involved with Epstein as picture after picture is produced with him in seriously compromising postitions to put it mildly. His family has banished him to some farm in the wilderness of the English countryside, but they cannot keep those pictures from surfacing again and again. We're pretty sure they wish he would move to Mongolia to never be seen or heard from again. But we digress.
The next winners to get nailed in this endless scandal is none other than the most slippery couple known to man, Bill and Hillary Clinton.
This dynamic duo have agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating Epstein.
Now read this next part without your jaw dropping: No evidence has been found that Hillary ever traveled with Epstein, much less boarded Epstein’s now-infamous jet, the Lolita Express. Duh.
Ah, but Bill has admitted to a 'handful of interactions' with Epstein, including four trips on board Epstein’s jet, a meeting at Epstein’s Harlem office in 2002, and “one brief visit" to Epstein’s New York apartment.
Bill Clinton was involved with Epstein up to his eyeballs. He and wife destroyed Monica Lewinsky when it was Bill himself who was at fault. Over the decades, she has also gone after other women who Bill was, shall we delicately say, active with.
Let's see how they get out of this one.
We'll talk...
