Taking the high road is not easy.
It requires restraint in the face of accusation and the courage to remain silent even when one holds the evidence that would set the record straight.
Silence demands a strength that words often cannot convey. Watching someone choose dignity over defence, in real time, is both humbling and illuminating.
And perhaps most striking of all, it reminds us that wisdom does not always belong to the elder. Sometimes, it is the younger who show us what grace truly looks like.
We felt we were on the right track in this thinking and then, while scrolling social media this morning, we came across someone who also figured this out and posted the following about our current mayor's achievements.
Jeremy Levi, Hampstead's current mayor believes, and rightly so, that his record will speak for itself. Here ya go:
...Fixed the major flooding issue on Dufferin, -got Montreal to put in writing that if anything happens to Ellerdale during reconstruction they will hold us harmless (Hampstead was working on that for 10 years).
...Hired all new directors in administration and boosted employee morale 10x, -streamlined permitting process to build and renovate homes faster,
...Significantly increased public security presence and patrols,
...New tennis courts,
...Equipped all our snow plows with rid plows so no more snow mountains in front of driveway (starting this winter),
...Had the most cohesive council in Montreal (every resolution tabled was adopted)
Nothing more needs to be said. You want integrity? You know who to vote for.

Be very careful what you wish for.
Right now, Francois Legault's popularity is clearly in the terlit, with 74% wanting him to go. And who, we are asking, is going to replace him?
The separatist? A new poll taken recently showed the majority of Quebecers are not interested in separating. That ship sailed yet the separatist party keeps harping on it.
The liberal party leader who is more useless than an umbrella in a hurricane? Pablo Rodriquez can't find his way out of a closet. The only thing he has going for him is his hair as it appears he's very much like Justin - only air between his ears.
Given the above lack of viable choices, Legault and his minions are still treading on very dangerous ground.
They, as governments before them, are going after doctors as a ruse to look there and not at the real problems in quebec. It's not working and will be the demise of him if he doesn't find another scapegoat.
The issues are very complicated so we broke then down to something we understood:
...Doctors say the government is asking them to improve access and performance, but hasn’t committed the necessary resources (e.g., more operating rooms, more staff, reduced bureaucracy) to actually meet the targets.
Somehow the government found $1 billion to put a new roof on the ridiculous, aging and useless olympic stadium roof but can't find any money to put into the healthcare system. Or they sank another billion into the Northvolt project, a planned battery factory in the Montérégie region, was officially canceled by the Quebec government in September 2025. Why?
Because Northvolt went bankrupt. Whoever thought of that little scheme is another genius around Legault. But we digress.
...The doctors assert the government is using punishment and intimidation rather than collaboration. For example: the government suggesting some doctors are “lazy” when they lack the tools to achieve the targets.
The government is bloated and exploding with useless bureaucrats, most living in Quebec city, who have not a clue about the medical system. They are eating up the money that should be going into the healthcare system.
In summary...
Doctors in Québec are mightily and rightly disgusted because they believe the government is imposing a compensation model tied to performance without adequately empowering them to achieve that performance.
They are doing this while at the same time signalling punitive or heavy-handed measures if things don’t improve. The negotiation process is broken, trust is low, and doctors fear the outcome will be worse for them and for patient access.
Case in point: A waiting list for cancer treatment. Are you kidding? We promise you that if Legault or any of his minions needed cancer treatment they would be pushed to the front of the line. The plebs? His base? Expendable. Wait till you die. Or until the chemo will no longer work.
We ask this question: Who is monitoring the performance of Legault? Or Dube our health minister? Or the thousands of bureaucrats collecting a salary for ruining the system? We'll tell you. Nobody.
Imagine you are a doctor and being told you are lazy? That's what Legault et al are doing.
So if he leaves what do we get? A moronic separatist who will also ignore the health care system while trying to make quebec its own country? With no money.
Then we will have a broken health care system and an idiot who thinks he wants his own country forgetting about the billions of dollars of transfer payments from Canada.
We are living in an insane asylum with the inmates running the show.

The Prince Andrew-Sarah Ferguson show continues. And it's ugly.
Now that the dynamic duo have been stripped of everything but their interhoisen - underwear, how are they supposed to live in the manner they have become accustomed? Simple. Write a tell-all book for millions of dollars, you know, like Harry and Meghan.
Lest you think Sarah is the spurned wife, think again. She's as dumb as he is. In 2010 she was caught on video trying to sell access to her beloved ex. “500,000 pounds when you can, to me, open doors,” she told an undercover journalist.
This brainwave also took a loan from Epstein, later calling it an error in judgement. Ya think?
Blanche, can you already hear Oprah calling them? She will interview anybody for her own personal fame and truckloads of money.
The only good thing about Andrew is that he has been a distraction of the feud between Harry and William.
One thing we can say with certainty: When the Queen passed away in 2022, she left a crater in Buckingham palace the size of Montana. Charles is a weak, now sick king. His wife is, shall we say, not the prettiest flake in the box to put it mildly.
It's up to William, Kate and their children to try to save the monarchy from becoming irrelevant.

Well this is not a good thing.
A massive betting scandal has been exposed in the NBA — the National Basketball Association.
There were two simultaneous schemes at play: one involving inside information about players and games that was leaked to bettors, and another, a high-stakes poker network allegedly run and manipulated by members of organized crime families.
In the first, certain players and even a coach are accused of feeding private medical or participation details that is who was “sitting out,” who was “injured,” who would “play limited minutes” to bettors who then wagered heavily on those outcomes.
In some cases, players reportedly altered their own performance or minutes to make sure those bets paid off. Now that's nasty and cheating.
The second scheme reads like a Hollywood script: mafia-connected poker games, rigged decks, and professional athletes used as bait to draw wealthy marks. It’s alleged that the two rings were intertwined with overlapping players, fixers, and money handlers.
We are guessing that greed kept this going as it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that eventually everybody would be caught.
As for the poker-organized crime scandal, who in their right mind would want to get involved with these mafia families: Bonanno, Genovese, Lucchese, Gambino? All the money in the world is not enough to save you if you cross them.
There are also accusations of cheating technologies like rigged shufflers, card-reading glasses and contacts to defraud wealthy “fish” at these poker events. Card reading glasses?
It's pretty clear the jails are going to have quite a few additions to their already overcrowded population.

While proudly wearing a keffiyah, a female member of the European parliament is calling for the mass extrajudicial execution of palestinians who she alleges collaborated with Israel.
In case you don't know what an extrajudicial execution is...it is the deliberate killing of a person without the lawful authority granted by a judicial proceeding.
This woman sits in the european parliament and is calling for hamas to commit murder.
To be sure, hamas is currently in the process of killing their political opponents under this guise and has been doing so since the 'peace treaty' was signed.
Do you hear anything from Mark Carney? Or Starmer? Or Macron? Nope. Not a word. This 'genocide' is fine.
Hey Anthony - still staying with Carney? Still groveling and sniveling at his feet as he pretends to care about what happens in Israel or to the Jews in Canada? You're as bad as he is if you don't leave. Painted with the same brush.
Everybody in this piece is morally bankrupt.
Good Shabbos
We'll talk...
