We don't know about anyone else, but today, on the eve of the release of the hostages after two long, agonizing years in captivity and with the war 'officially' over for the moment, we are struggling with many emotions at the same time.
Israel needs to get back to some semblance of normalcy. Parents, whose sons and daughters were fighting in gaza and other fronts need to be able to sleep at night again.
Tourism must return to Israel. The economy has to start running again. The government needs to focus on rebuilding the destroyed towns and kibbutzim. Israeli's need time to heal - physically and mentally.
Then we heard the hostages would be released at 1:00 a.m. Israel time, not at noon on Monday. . We shuddered.
hamas chose the cover of darkness to shield their savage cruelty. Wisely, Israel is not allowing anyone to see the hostages for a while as it would be excruicating for people to see what happened to them.
At some point, though, the world will see. We will see the few who can still stand, who can still whisper. It will be brutal to watch.
So while we are elated that their suffering is finally over, we quietly wonder how these people can ever recover, how they can ever lead normal lives again.

And then there's the 'peace' deal. The supposed 'end of the war'. Please. Anyone who has even the slightest knowledge of hamas and all the other violent muslim groups knows that this war will never end.
This is a pause - G-d willing a very long one. Part of this so-called peace deal includes releasing 2,000 Arab prisoners, many of them convicted murderers.
For the families whose loved ones were slaughtered by some of those walking free today, the pain must be unbearable, painful wounds reopened.
Israel has to play this game now to end the war, but frankly, we hope that they do what they do best. Let the worst of them out now, and slowly but surely, 'eliminate' them with targeted drone strikes.

Then there are the useful idiots for hamas - the so-called protesters.
What are they going to do now that the war is ending? Is whoever is funding and organizing them going to keep going? They can't shriek genocide anymore. Our guess?
They are going to continue, now with the truth, what they really believe and wanted all along - the total obliteration of Israel and Jews from the world. That is the real end game. Sharia law and no Jews.
Here's a chilling headline: If you don't believe it, you are sadly, very sadly mistaken. You live in a bubble. Just look at the vicious rhetoric of the so-called newly converted muslims. They spew ridiculous chants not knowing even an iota of what they are saying. Even worse, what they are pushing.
They have bought, hook, line and sinker, the adage that Jews are a blight on the world. That only islam can save the world. That wearing a keffiayah is a sign of strength, a sign that they belong.
All is not lost.
We have seen this movie before and lived to tell the tale. We will survive this as we have survived all the others who tried to destroy us. In order to do that, Jews must be unified. We must stand with one voice, with one heart, with one soul.
Those who have succumbed to the 'other side' are to be pitied. They are fools who will be the first to be targeted, as those german Jews who tried to be more german than the germans.
The sun will rise tomorrow. Our day will go on. We will celebrate another Simchas Torah, this year with true joy knowing there are no more hostages.

And a final note about our prime minister and his foreign minister anita anand.
We are not sure in what world they live. Certainly not the real one if anita anand claimed, as she did, that Canada worked closely with Rubio to get a peace deal.
Frankly, she is insulting, so far removed from reality that she actually thinks people will believe her garbage.
Canada signed on, with no less than another 150 countries, that Israel must accept a tw0-state solution, giving hamas a state as a reward for October 7. Does she think we believe that Trump wanted carney or her anywhere near him?
No on all accounts.
Canada is a hinderance to Trump. A pimple on a horse's ass that nobody wants or needs.
What is running our country now is way worse than Justin. Way worse because they believe and foster each other's lies and are taking us down a very, very dangerous path.
To all those who voted for carney - we hope you now see what you have done. And that in the next election, hopefully soon, you will rectify your error.
Simchat Torah is coming up on Tuesday night. We will dance and sing like never before.
We'll talk on Thursday...
