The False Luxury of Being Unaccountable...Time to Call Out that Bully Plamondon...The Despicable Stephen Miller...The Fools Among Us...

Last weekend, one of the coldest in years, more than 25,000 people lost power, some for four or five days.

The reason? An aging substation built in the 1970s, long past its prime, clearly failing, and apparently left to limp along until it finally gave out right on cue during extreme cold.

This wasn’t a freak event. It wasn’t unforeseeable. It was infrastructure neglect, plain and simple. When systems built half a century ago are treated as 'good enough,' this is the result: families in the dark, homes without heat, seniors at risk, and no backup plan when it matters most.

Next... in the Douglas Hospital an aging sprinkler system gave up also due to the weather, flooding the entire research building. It probably should have been replaced 20 years ago.

Next... Montreal roads, as many other cities, have ridiculously large potholes which are not being fixed. Plus the roads and sidewalks are unusually icy. Why?

Out of four salt spreaders, none was working. Out of 4 pothole repair trucks, 2 are not working.

Next...The new REM train that was supposed to be the best thing since chopped liver in terms of saving energy and allowing people to leave their cars at home is a dud. It's broken way more than it works.

And yet, the Parti Québécois keeps insisting Québec would be better off as its own country. One has to wonder exactly what they are smoking.

Add to all of the above, the CAQ, instead of helping out aging city infrastructure, spent over a billion dollars putting a new roof on the olympic stadium, invested more billions on companies that were not properly vetted and subsequently went bankrupt, created a 'new' system for the license bureau that was done by people with the brains of a gnat and cost us more billions of dollars and still doesn't work properly.

And the real issues, the day to day things that affect people directly? Let them eat cake. Plebs. We need you to vote for us and that's where it begins and ends.

We don't know about you, but we are done with politicians who think they don't have to answer to anyone, explain anything, and then have zero consequences when they blow through budgets like it’s Monopoly money i.e. OPM - other people's money.

They shrug off the damage, and then walk away while taxpayers are left holding the bill.

And when it all collapses as happened this past weekend? We're very sorry with no accountability. Eventually, they retire assuming that we all have short memories and will keep voting for their party.

This is called the false luxury of being unaccountable. We will remember.

You may not like Doug Ford the premier of Ontario, but most of the time he says it like it is. Yesterday he spoke about the parti quebecois who are running on a platform to separate quebec from Canada. Here ya go:

"It'd be a disaster for our country if the separatists got elected. It's as simple as that. We have to be a united Canada right now. There's never been a more important time in our history to make sure that we stand shoulder to shoulder, united. Not only it'll be good for Canada, it will be good for Quebecers."

It's about time people stopped dancing around Mr. Plamondon leader of the separatist party. When one encounters a bully, the best defence is to confront them and then you see how fast they back down.

So it's high time to call out Plamondon as Doug Ford did because every time PP opens his mouth, it's one more nail in the economic coffin of quebec.

Who wants to invest here if there's a chance he will win and we will be dragged into another referundum? We'll tell you. Nobody. He is also making sure the brains of the world go elsewhere.

It boggles the mind that the likes legault and plamondon get to positions of power. Where are the people here and in Ottawa with not only brains, but with a vision for Canada without their own agenda at the top of said vision.

Don't know about you, but we're still looking for that person.

Of all the people around Donald Trump, we cannot fathom why he keeps Stephen Miller. It is Miller who is directly responsible for the horrendous crap show happening in Minneapolis.

It appears that Trump has partially come to his senses and sent his 'border czar' Homan to Minneapolis to stay there until things are under control and calm down.

If you have ever seen Stephen Miller speak on any talk show you are immediately struck by his steely, montone voice and his obsession with illegal immigrants.

Clearly until now he has been able to play out all his fantasies at the expense of regular Americans who happened to be South American.

What started out as weeding out illegal alien criminals who snuck in during Biden's moronic open border policy, has morphed into five-year-olds being used as leverage against their parents. Even if the parent were a criminal, the visual of a five-year old being taken into custody by masked, armed, huge men is really bad.

The other one who has to go is Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. The woman is seriously off the charts. She had a dog who was sick, dragged him to a gravel pit and shot him.

After the second killing of a citizen last weekend, this genius said "Violence against a government because of ideological reasons and for reasons to resist and to perpetuate violence. That is the definition of domestic terrorism,”

Alex Pretti was very stupid to confront those immigration agents...more than once. In fact, it cost him his life. But what he did is not domestic terrorism. Please.

Trump has to get rid of both Noem and Miller very quickly. Either that or stop listening to them and park them in an office very far away from the Oval Office. It's time to move on.

Last night, a deranged man rammed his car, multiple times, into 770 Eastern Parkway, aka Lubavitch world headquarters in Crown Heights Brooklyn.

How this happened is quite the mystery. If you have ever been around that building, there is a heavy police presence complete with a large police van. It is also always teeming with people.

It appears this dude stood outside in the freezing cold before his attack dressed only in shorts, a tee shirt and open hoodie. That alone should have alerted the police to, at the very least, bring him into their van.

Alas, nothing of the sort happened and after a while he got into his car and kept ramming at side door of the building.

To his credit, Mayor Mamdani showed up at a press conference pretty soon after the attack. One of the people we follow on Instagram and who normally is level-headed and seems to have lost her cookies last night. She accused Mamdani of being responsible for the attack, saying that his ' Globalize the Intifada is coming to fruition!'

Clearly we don't like Mamdani and agree that he is bias (a gross understatement) to muslims. But this was not his fault. It was yet another mentally challenged man fulfilling his dream.

The people there are very lucky that he didn't also have guns. Very lucky.

It appears there are more than a few yahoos living in Alberta and some of them stepped over an imaginary line.

More than one covert meeting was held between separatist activists in Alberta and members of Donald Trump’s administration. Woah there buddies.

Trump's people should have sent these dudes packing even before the first meeting took place. They have less than zero chance of making Alberta the 51st state without the blessing of a) the premier of Alberta and b) the rest of Canada.

We’re not sure what they were thinking but perhaps wearing those ten-gallon hats for prolonged periods of time may be shrinking their brains.

When Ran Gvili's body was finally sent to Israel this is what she said: Nearly two and a half years after the horrific October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas, the remains of the last hostage, Ran Gvili, were finally returned.

No Madam Anand, Describing this as Hamas “returning” remains is not just inaccurate, it is the opposite of reality.

The location and identification of Ran Gvili’s remains were the result of a massive Israeli military and forensic operation. It had absolutely nothing to do with hamas. They did not nor would not return anyone's remains to Israel.

How do such foolish people get into positions of power? Another one that boggles the mind.
