What Does Mark Carney Really Want?...Alberta an Associate Member of the USA...Huge Upset in Calgary & Who Cares...

Let's start with this. By the time Carney is done running around the world making sure all his buddies give him standing ovations, approximately 40% of small businesses in Canada will be on the verge of collapsing because he can't make any kind of deal with Trump.

And a good percentage of what's left over is looking to leave and set up shop down south.

So while it’s very nice to jet from one international stage to another announcing massive deals that may not bear fruit for another five years, Carney appears to have less than zero sympathy for the roughly 32 million Canadians living in the here and now paying the bills, buying the groceries and trying to make ends meet today.

It's not weakness that made other countries end their fighting over the tariffs. It's that they cared about what happened to the little people. The ones who started their small businesses trading with about 350 million people in the US and are now looking down the barrel of no one to trade with and a heart-wrenching choice: eventual bankruptcy or moving to the US.

Why? One reason, we suspect, is that Carney very much enjoys playing the statesman on the world stage, particularly among his WEF and Davos crowd where standing up to Trump earns him plenty of applause.

Case in point: Europe.

After Carney’s speech to the European Parliament today, he received a standing ovation, with European lawmakers lining up to shake his hand and take selfies. At this rate, they’ll soon be asking for his autograph.

Carney may have found his adoring audience in Europe. The question is whether Canadians struggling to pay their bills are quite as impressed.

Now ask yourself these questions:

Has Carney told Canadians one word of what Trump offered ?

Is Carney trying to really stick it Trump and embarrass him worldwide?

Why is it that the NY Times knew about the EU associate membership before Canadians?

And isn't it strange that of all the countries dealing with Trump only Canada kept needling him, taunting him, pushing him, insulting him knowing they would get under his skin.

What is the real reason this is all happening?

What is Carney's real plan?

Running around Europe getting fawned over like a movie star?

That can't be it although that's what's happening.

Something stinks very badly here. One thing we know for sure: follow the money. Always follow the money. Somebody is making loads of it and it's not the Canadian guy who can no longer sell his lumber to the state of Maine.

Be very careful what you wish for. Both in the federal and provincial elections.

We had an airhead leading us with Justin. He was truly a light-weight. Now we have an egotistical, arrogant, sneaky man with a long-term plan only he knows and won't share. Neither are good options. Are we screwed?

How about this one? Alberta becoming an associate member of the United States of America. Perfect, eh?

Their trading partner would not be 5,000 miles away across the ocean. Rather, a few hundred miles away across the border. Seriously, for Alberta it's a win-win.

Mark Carney is a very shrewd man. His choice of Stephen Harper to close his economic summit was a stroke of political genius. In one move, he shifted attention away from Pierre Poilievre and put a former Conservative prime minister, still an enormously recognizable figure within the Conservative movement and across Canada centre stage.

Harper is polished, speaks exceptionally well and carries a sense of authority without the bs of Carney.

Seeing him sitting comfortably alongside Carney created an image of two former political adversaries putting partisan differences aside to talk seriously about Canada's economic future.

Whether that translates into anything politically is another question. But as political theatre, the symbolism was impossible to miss. In fact, Carney is completely taking the wind out of Poilievre's sails as he is gives the impression that he's almost a conservative.

He's not. He's a woke, liberal, tree-hugging globalist wrapped in the sober, reassuring packaging of an international banker. In other words, he's a fake conservative, selling the country a fake bill of goods.

In the self-hating Jew department, we thought Bernie Sanders was the worst. Wrong.

Chuck Shumer just gave $10 million to boost leftist Israel-hating Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed. We kid you not.

El-Sayed has a long history of antisemitic inflammatory comments. He’s angry. He’s aggressive. His campaign has also been dogged by his tight bond with radical Jew-hater Hasan Piker who has previously claimed “America deserved 9/11” and has openly praised terrorist groups like Hezbollah.

Financial records even show an overlap between El-Sayed’s donors and supporters of pro-Hitler Instagram influencers.

And this is who Shumer the Jew is supporting? What has the world come to.

There was a bombshell that fell in Calgary last night. In one of, if not the safest Conservative riding for Danielle Smith, the NDP took the prize. Clearly, the population is not enamoured with her upcoming separation referundum. She's have a referendum to see if they should have a real separation referendum.

As for what happens to Poilievre time will tell. If this is a repudiation of the premier, then he will probably be ok. But he will not know for sure until the election. So is Calgary-Shaw an isolated protest against Smith, or are there other signs that conservative support is weakening in Calgary?

It's not the best news for Poilievre but it is good news for those who want to keep Alberta in Canada. This election shows that if the electorate is mad enough, they will make their voices heard via an election.

We can only hope that in quebec the separatist party will be wiped off the map, despite what the polls are showing. People don't tell pollsters the truth as we witnessed in 2016 when Hillary was 'winning' by a 95% majority and then lost to Trump. People were afraid to say they were voting for Trump so they lied.

Time will tell.
