Who To Vote For?...Why Is Canada Still Giving Money to UNRWA?...Carney Courting the EU...Public Service Announcement...

We are heading into a provincial election on Monday October 5. As people living in a democracy, we have an obligation to excercise our right to vote. The looming question facing us all, especially the Jewish population of quebec is who is best for the Jews.

It is not the separatist party. Their obsession with pulling Quebec out of Canada is no longer a dream. It is a ridiculous fantasy, one they keep trying to sell to Quebecers as though the rest of the world has been standing still for the past fifty years. It is as though they only see the world through their own, minuscule, petty lens.

Quebec will never survive as a country. In short order it will economically collapse and be sought after by the US to be their 51st state.

The liberal party are chameleons. They pretend to care about the Anglos in quebec, they pretend to care about the Jews but in reality they pass legislation that undermines both of those ideals. They are not to be trusted and their leader is not strong.

We like the conservative party, we like Eric Duhaime, but he has no chance of winning and voting for them is throwing your vote away. They just don't have enough support out of Quebec city, if they even have that.

The quebec solidaire party is a left-wing, sovereignist party. They are, what we term, a pimple on a horse's ass. A nothing-burger. Which leaves us with one party.

The CAQ has, over the past few years been politically incoherent. They ran the province into economic oblivion by governing like a bunch of five-graders who had no idea what to do with their (read our) money.

But then there are things the CAQ has done that people are not really aware of, especially if you are a Jew in quebec. In case you haven't noticed, public prayer (carpets on the street, behinds in the air) has disappeared. As have the daily protests. The CAQ has passed legislation making sure if you do these things in the name of gaza or hamas or against Israel, you will have consequences. It seems to be working.

In the end, nobody wants the separatist party who will hang a referendum over our heads for the next five years killing any potential economic growth.

So be smart and vote smart.

While Duhaime is a nice guy and we prefer the conservative party, in this province he has a snow ball's chance in you-know-where to win. Splitting the vote will most likely result in a minority separatist party and who wants that?

In this case, it's better to vote for the devil you know than the one you don't. Or, to put it another way, be careful what you wish for. Very careful.

Carney and his idiot foreign minister Anita Anand are still supporting known terrorist organizations.

Neta Heiman Mina, an Israeli peace activist, addressed the 63rd session of the UN Human Rights Council today.

Her mother, Ditza Heiman, was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7 at age 84. Neta told the Council that her mother was held for weeks in the home of a man who identified himself to Ditza as an UNRWA teacher.

She wants to know why an unwra teacher held her 84-year-old mother hostage in his Gaza attic? Of course she will never get an answer.

We want to know why Canada is still giving money to unrwa. Of course we will never get an answer either.

One has to wonder what Carney has in mind asking to be an associate member of the EU.

Let's start with the obvious: We already have a free-trade agreement with Europe called CETA - Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement which by the way, not all members have signed off on.

So if we already have an agreement, what's the point of being an associate member of the EU? The EU is poorer than we are.  The EU is growing more slowly than we are.  The EU has no functioning military.  And yet Carney is kissing his World Economic forum friends where the sun don't shine to get into bed with them.

Here's a headline: Diversification should supplement the U.S. relationship, not pretend Canada can replace it. Europe is 5,000 kilometres away. The world's largest economy is sitting immediately below us, with infrastructure and supply chains built over generations to connect the two countries.

What Carney is not telling you is that the dairy farmers are going to be mighty ticked off if this collaboration ever comes to fruition. At the Canada-EU Agriculture Committee this year, the EU raised objections to Canada's administration of European cheese quotas and Canada's milk-pricing system.

Taking this to its logical end...If Carney wants a much deeper economic arrangement, Europe could then say no problem buddy. But we want substantially greater access to your dairy market.

Let's see how this plays out.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but if Carney decides to hold an election in the next short while, and if Poilievre stays on as leader which is what the liberals are praying for, here's the result we would get according to the latest Leger poll:

Liberals: 243 seats.

Conservatives: 73 seats

Bloc Quebecois: 21 seats

NDP: 5 seats

Green Party: 1 seat.

It's not a pretty picture to think Carney could rule like the steely cold dispassionate person he is for the next five years.

The RCMP says it is “aware” of an ongoing FBI investigation into a report that hackers gained access to tens of millions of government-issued identity records across North America— including Canadians’ driver’s licences.

On September 1 of this year, independent journalist Brian Krebs said he had discovered a dark web site selling digital scans of millions of drivers’ licences from people in the U.S. and Canada. How many millions you ask? Over 153 million drivers' licences.

This site was called Nexus (as in the card). Along with the 153 million drivers' licences, they have more than 10 million identification cards; more than three million travel documents and/or international IDs; and at least 579,000 medical cards.

There's not much you can do to find out if you were one of the ones hacked. Just keep watching your purchases carefully.
