Wouldn't You Like to Be A Fly on the Wall after Carney read Freeland's Piece in the NY Times?...Fauci is a Weasel

We read the op-ed piece by Chrystia Freeland in the NY Times and what her approach would be to Trump's tarrifs. She believes if you stand up to a bully, they back down.

Mark Carney, who is running the country believes the exact opposite. He believes the tactic of ignoring Trump will work much better, ergo we are like mushrooms, being kept entirely in the dark when it comes to the negotiations.

And now these two opposite modes of dealing with Trump are being battled out publicly as Freeland threw down the gauntlet in her very public piece in the NY Times. You can be very sure that Carney blew a gasket, if he didn't completely implode.

Hence we would have liked to be a fly on the wall to watch this.

Freeland is no longer part of the government so she really should stay out of this mess. However, there is an underlying issue. Trump refused to negotiate with her. He hated her with good reason as she is as arrogant as Carney. And when he sees this op-ed he is not going to be happy, to put it mildly.

He's going to say that Carney can't control his people. And he is correct. Freeland herself is a bully which sometimes works but certainly did not with Trump. There's nothing Carney can do about her. We live in a democracy and as such, she is free to publish whatever she wants wherever she wants.

In a nutshell, she said the greatest threat to Canada is not a particular tariff or trade dispute, but the possibility that the United States no longer sees Canada as an equal partner in a rules-based alliance. Canada should prepare for a future in which it has to rely much less on its southern neighbour.

Ergo the title of her op-ed piece ‘You Aren’t Going to Like What Comes After America’.

Which is why we believe Carney's refusal to level with Canadians will eventually come back to bite him.

Sooner or later, even pig farmers will understand that the United States is no longer the ally it once was, and that reality is unlikely to disappear when Donald Trump leaves office. The relationship may evolve, but the shift itself is likely to endure in one form or another.

And if we're going to rethink our relationship with the United States, perhaps we should also rethink one of Canada's most sacred economic cows, a big thorn for both Canada and Trump: supply management.

Opening up the dairy industry to real competition would be a welcome start and go a long way to make some peace between us and the US.

We watched Anthony Fauci be grilled in front of a congressional committee yesterday.

To start with, in case you didn't know he was pardoned by Biden a few minutes before he left office. However, that pardon does not protect future conduct. Meaning, if someone were to commit perjury or another federal crime after receiving a pardon, for example, by lying under oath in a later congressional hearing, that conduct would not be covered by the earlier pardon. This has been a point raised by members of Congress ahead of Fauci's recent testimony.

Clearly Fauci knew this little tidbit of information and refused to answer one question posed to him. Rather, he invoked the fifth amendment to protect himself because he believed the hearing was designed to provoke him into making statements that could later be used against him. Which, perforce means he knows he did some very nasty things.

During the proceedings, one of Fauci's many lawyers present repeatedly interrupted the proceedings and attempted to speak on Fauci's behalf even though he had not been recognized by the chair. He was removed by the capitol police.

Fauci's diary has been widely published. It's not pretty to put it mildly. He won't wind up in jail but we hope that he keeps getting hauled in front of different hearings at a hefty cost to him for all those lawyers. He was single-handedly responsible for many of the useless and draconian covid measures.

Jagmeet Singh is reportedly in the running for the Chief Executive Officer of Destination Canada, the federal Crown corporation responsible for promoting Canadian tourism internationally.

The media is asking why Carney's government would reward him with such a position. Peeps - Carney inherited whatever Justin Trudeau promised Singh for propping up his government for the last five or so years when they were in power.

Jagmeet Singh is as qualified for this job as a penguin is to coach a camel race. In other words, he's not qualified. One of the things he has to do, aside from managing tens of millions of dollars is to develop Canada's tourism strategy, including setting long-term goals for increasing tourism revenue and visitor numbers.

Another thing he has to do is work closely with tourism businesses across the country. Seriously? This guy is dumber than dumb. He lierally ran the NDP party into the ground. And now he's going to represent Canada as the face of tourism?

Lest you think we are hard on Carney for no reason, think again. In fact, it appears he's taking a page right out of Trump's workbook.

The Liberal-dominated parliamentary Operations Committee voted 5-4 on Thursday to shut down an investigation into the Gordie Howe Bridge deal, with Liberal MPs saying they're "offended by the insinuations" that Carney lied about it.

They are offended by the insinuations? He lied. Period. He fudged the truth. He kept Canadians in the dark like mushrooms. He's arrogant and shares nothing with anyone.

And how did they do this?

By adjourning the meeting before the motion came to a final vote. In other words, they blocked the study procedurally rather than defeating it in a recorded 5–4 vote.

The liberals play dirty and sneaky just like their leader.

He got very lucky when he inherited this riding from Irwin Cotler. The Mount Royal riding is the surest win in all of Canada for the liberals. So all Housefather has to do is show up at every ethnic event, run around to every senior home to show his face and he's guaranteed a win.

Helping the Jews in Canada? Not for him.

Sucking up to Carney? A+ grade

Protecting his pension and seat? Perfectly done.

He has the cushiest job in all of Canada. He has however become persona non-grata before his own Jewish people. He traded his soul for his job. He's hiding behind Carney.

Feh.

...A final update on Anthony Fauci who helped cause untold misery to millions of people.

We will remind you of one thing: when elderly people living in senior homes died alone because they were not allowed visitors. Or they died holding the phone listening to their children. It was Fauci who started that ball rolling.

And then there's this:

A 2022 CNN interview he did is not aging well.

He said he would "cooperate fully" with Congress, that he has "nothing to hide," and that he could "explain and validate everything" he's done. Four years later, Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times during his Senate testimony.
