An About Face Thanks To Harley...That Spineless Housefather...Lindsay Graham...Who is Maia Johnson Carney's New COO Maia Johnson?

Last week Harley Finkelstein, president of Shopify and proud, loud Jew, was at the startupfest in Montreal when a known antisemite, who has been jailed and fined for his filth, managed to infiltrate the event. He had a cameraman with him as he tried to berate Finkelstein with disgusting antisemitic slurs. Nobody bit. In fact, he was roundly booed out the door.

What emerged from that altercation was a personal revelation. A wakeup call. Following that event, Finkelstein gave an interview to the National Post and there was one question that spoke to us very clearly.

He was asked about Plan B which is the conversation Canadian Jews are having these days: stay or go. His response was unequivocal, strong and firm. "I'm staying. I'm building and I'm raising my family here proudly and visibly."

Of late we have been reading doom and gloom. Plan B. Where will the Jews from Canada go? Mr. Finkelstein changed that thinking for us.

Why do we have to leave? If those who don't like Jews are not happy, then guess what? Let them leave. Let them find their plan B.

Let them find a place in the world with no Jews. There are certainly plenty of those places around: Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, Cuba, Ghana, North Korea. They could live in peace knowing that Jewish brains were not used anywhere to better those societies.

We are done with ignorant morons who decided that it's now the Jews who they are going after. All of this antisemitism is being pushed by bots and lies on TikTok that ignorant, uneducated people believe.

Nope. We are not going nowhere. If we stand strong together, there's nothing to fear. Eventually, some other ethnic people will find themselves the brunt of the fools of the world. We are waiting this one out.

Counter Harley Finkelstein's towering strength with Little Anthony Housefather's meek, spineless blather. It never ceases to amaze us how low he can go to keep his job. Housefather spoke recently and even while uttering the following words, one could see he didn't believe them himself: "There is no safer place for Jews to be than here in Canada."

To utter those words, one has to wonder if he actually resides in Canada.

Housefather, Canadian Jews don't judge their safety by press conferences or moronic word salads. They judge it by the security guards at every synagogue, the police patrols outside Jewish schools, the protests outside community institutions, and the growing hesitation many feel about wearing a kippah in public.

If your first instinct, as Anthony Housefather's appears to be, is to protect your political image instead of the community you were elected to represent, then you have already failed that community. What a clown.

It appears that Senator Lindsay Graham was married to his job, the people of America and the people of Israel. He was one of the best friends Israel ever had. As one CEO of a major Jewish organization said:

"Friends like Lindsey Graham come along once in a generation. He was a steadfast champion of the U.S.-Israel relationship, a principled voice on national security and a true friend to the Jewish people.

...Sen. Graham never had to be persuaded that the security of Israel or the concerns of the American Jewish community deserved his attention.”

Unlike our cold, remote prime minister Mark Carney, Lindsay Graham was a truly compassionate person, He took it upon himself to visit Israel after October 7 to see the destruction and terror hamas inflicted on that small country. He was a true friend of the Jewish people. May he rest in peace.

Here's a good one. Mark Carney just handed day-to-day control of his office to an American political operative who worked for Hillary Clinton and Michael Bloomberg. Her name is Maia Johnson, she's young, black and worked for Carney at the UN. DEI anyone?

Wait. It gets better.

While assuming the role of Mark Carney's Chief Operating Officer a title that seems to have magically appeared, Maia Johnson will also remain a senior adviser on Canada, U.S. relations. Think about that for a minute.

The day-to-day operations of the Canadian Prime Minister's Office and advice on Canada's relationship with the United States are now being entrusted to an American political operative whose résumé includes Hillary Clinton and Michael Bloomberg.

Canadians are entitled to ask a simple question: Was there really no Canadian with the experience, judgment and understanding of this country who could do the job? Asking for a friend.

This next piece is a reminder that many Canadians voted for Mark Carney because he sold them the idea that he not Pierre Poilievre was uniquely qualified to deal with Donald Trump. We certainly hope that many voters are thinking, hey, we were sold a bill of goods.

Carney looks like the adult in the room because of his dispassionate demeanor. He's a fake.

Here's a short list of how badly he's doing. We are not even mentioning the fact that his stance on Israel and the Jewish community in Canada is abysmal.

...U.S. tariffs on Canadian steel, aluminum and automobiles remain unresolved, and Canada’s retaliatory tariffs in those sectors are still in effect.

...On July 1, the United States refused to extend CUSMA for another 16 years. The agreement remains in force, but it will now face annual reviews, creating continuing uncertainty for Canadian businesses.

...Washington has been holding more direct negotiations with Mexico, while Canada has at times appeared to be on the sidelines.

...Carney promised a new economic relationship with the United States, but so far there is no comprehensive tariff agreement and no removal of the most damaging sectoral tariffs.

Carney’s defence is that Trump is extremely difficult to negotiate with. Duh. We knew that but Carney said he would definitely be able to deal with him. Clearly not true.

Mark Carney campaigned on the premise that his international reputation, economic credentials and 'calm' demeanour would allow him to succeed where others could not. In fact, he's a cold, calculating, dispassionate person who has not delivered the goods at all.

Those who voted for him were duped.
