Another Deep Throat?

We have no doubt that many people have read the anonymous op-ed piece in the New York Times. There are a few options as to who wrote this piece. As the article alludes, someone inside the White House. It also could have been written by a democrat wanting to cause friction within the Republican Party or someone from the very left who wants to create havoc. All of these options are possible given the relentless effort to get Trump out of the White House.

There is no doubt that Trump evokes a strong emotional response. Given that, it is possible not to like his manner and the way he conducts himself, but agree with many of his policy decisions.

As things stand now, unless the Democrats can get their house in order, which is highly doubtful, Trump will be in that Oval Office another four years. There does not seem to be anyone in between Nancy Pelosi, who, at 75 years old firmly believes that she is entitled to money, power and respect and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who wants the United States to give everyone free everything.

Another reason that we have Donald Trump in the White House sits squarely on Obama and Hillary. He was a great orator, smooth as velvet, but did zip while President. Hillary was just, well, impossible for people to support. Her sense of entitlement knew no bounds.

Francois Legault leader of the CAQ party is as small-minded as they come. Eugenie Bouchard, Canada’s ace tennis player has moved to the Bahamas because there is no personal or corporate income tax.

Upon hearing this news, Mr. Legault said the following: “I think we should live where we were born, where we learned to play tennis and pay taxes in our country.” Where we learned to play tennis? She spent years in Florida learning to play tennis. Does Legault not remember that we have winter here?

Bouchard’s handlers saw the lay of the land here in Quebec and got out. Smart move. Especially with said Legault offering the sun, moon and stars – to be paid for by people like Bouchard – the top 1%.

We now know for certain that Legault has the brain of a pea. Or maybe a corn niblet. Otherwise he would have kept his mouth shut or better, called Bouchard directly and spoken to her. Instead, he went after her publicly. Wisely, Ms. Bouchard is not responding. Again, be careful what you wish for as this Bouchard comment brings him to the head of the class in stupidity.

The NAFTA talks are continuing, with supply management, i.e. eggs, dairy and milk on the front burner.

People are blaming Trump and his volatile personality for the difficulty in getting these talks done. While he may have an ‘interesting’ personality, again we reiterate that everyone knew what they were getting into, or should have as he has been tweeting and ‘out there’ for the past two years. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know what he’s like.

Sending in people who are not capable of reading Trump and more than that, saying things to set him off, are not the people who should be negotiating on our behalf. Alas, our ummer Prime Minister – as in um, I think, um, that um, we should um, finish the um, talks – is simply no match for Trump who thinks him a lightweight, which he is.

Remember Colin Kaepernick who won the lottery as the spokesperson for Nike? Just do it. Even if means sacrificing everything. Well, lucky for us, there are some great memes out there to challenge Nike:

Mike Tyson: Believe in thomthin. Even if it meanth thacrifing everythin. Cortez the Democrat: Believe in something. Even if it means not knowing anything. And our personal favourite featuring Anthony Weber: Go for it. Even if it means sacrificing everything.

On another note, some genius workermen were working in an adjacent suburb and ‘accidentally’ knocked over a light post which hit a gas main causing about 15,000 people to lose power for a good part of the day.

Blanche, don’t you wonder where they find these very special workers? While they may be able to wield a hammer better than we can, they obviously don’t know when their diggers are getting too close to gas mains and other yummy infrastructure. Perhaps they need to go back to workerman school. Wait. They do need to go back to school.

We want to wish all of our readers a happy, healthy and sweet New Year. Blanche will be coming in late on Tuesday as we cannot start until after 8:00 pm.

Good Shabbos We’ll talk…
