Tomorrow evening from 7:00 - 8:00 pm there will be a memorial for Michel Mizrahi of blessed memory. It will take place exactly where he was shot, in the Westbury complex.

If everything goes well, the Mizrahi family who are sitting shiva in Israel will be on a large screen so the entire community can offer their condolences.

It is absolutely amazing how this shooting has completely dropped off the news radar. It's like it never happened. Unfortunately, there are many questions still unanswered, the main one being who killed Mr. Mizrahi.

The common response is the policewoman who was shot and it appears people have actual video footage of this. Mr. Mizrahi seems to have come upon her from behind and she panicked after being shot. Before people blow a gasket, if the police would simply come forward and say they are looking into this, people would not be so suspicious. Not happening.

The police have closed ranks and are not talking or sharing anything.

When we were growing up, we knew summer meant it would be hot and winter meant it would be cold. We lived in an upstairs duplex with no air conditioning. And guess what? Here we are. We survived the heat.

Today? Yellow warnings, orange warnings, red warnings, media outlets warning you that it's hot and you should not run a marathon at noon and drink water. Does the media think construction workers or gardeners need to be told to drink? They work outside and know what to do.

It's summer. It's going to be hot. It will pass and then it will be autumn. Get a grip, stop being a snowflake and move on.

Our arrogant, condescending prime minister did not bother to respond to a letter sent more than a week ago by Israel’s ambassador to Canada, outlining his concerns about the Canadian Museum for Human Rights’ “nakba” exhibit.

As per Israel 's ambassador to Canada Iddo Moed: ..."the exhibit establishes a narrative that delegitimizes the existence of the State of Israel and takes place at a museum that is funded by the federal government."

Now read this: "In March, the National Post revealed that a 2023 list of members of the committee being consulted on the exhibit was comprised of hard-line anti-Zionist activists, with one member who had publicly referred to Zionism as “a disease that must be destroyed.”

More evidence of what Carney thinks of the Jews in Canada.

Again and again we will ask this question: How does Anthony Housefather turn up at Jewish events anywhere in Canada without being booed out of the room. That he stays with Mark Carney knowing all of the above and clearly unable to do nothing about it, makes him as culpable as Carney.

Toronto's mayor Olivia Chow and our prime minister Mark Carney have both made very clear their stance regarding Canada's Jewish community. Both could care less about what happens to us and neither will lift a finger to help any Jewish community aside from empty rhetoric.

This was made abundantly clear with both of these geniuses showing up at the gay pride parade in Toronto while ignoring Israel Day which brought out over 60,000 Jews.

As we don't tire of writing, there are way more muslims than Jews in Canada and they count for more votes. Ergo, nobody needs Jews to get elected but they do need the muslim vote.

Mark Carney has the personality of someone who is flatline however, he was highly animated at this parade, encouraging participants to spray him with water while laughing out loud.

Olivia Chow became so enamoured with the parade that she stupidly shrieked free palestine with all the other idiots.

Anyone who mindlessly echoes that chant without acknowledging its horrific association after October 7 displays either breathtaking ignorance or a disturbing indifference to the unspeakable suffering of its victims. That is not courage. It is moral blindness and Carney and Chow share that in spades.

By July 1,2026 (that would be tomorrow) Canada, Mexico and the US were supposed to renew the CUSMA deal for the next 16 years. Alas, that's not happening. And why is that you ask?

One of the main reasons, we which we agree with is Canada's insistence on keeping regulations in the volume of dairy products entering Canada, enforcing limits consistent with international trade agreements.

In other words, very little cheese and other dairy products can enter Canada keeping our prices artificically high. And in case you don't believe us, go see for yourself. Take a trip down south and you will be stunned by the gross difference in prices for cheese and milk. We are being royally hosed.

As for this agreement, any of the three nations can choose to officially pull out of the trade pact entirely. However, this requires a formal written six-month notice to the other parties.

Our guess is that, even though Trump's Iran foray has been aggravating, he is on the ball with this one and Carney's arrogance is going to be a big detriment to getting this deal signed for the next 16 years if at all.

Trump knows Carney thinks he's the smartest person in the room and that doesn't go over well with him. Alas, Carney's arrogance does not allow himself to be denigrated in any way, shape or form by anyone.

Which leaves us plebs caught in the middle. Thanks for electing Carney. Not.

At least someone has a brain. The Supreme Court has upheld bans on transgender athletes in girls' and women's sports in Idaho and West Virginia.

The decision, announced today, supports state laws that prevent transgender women and girls from competing on female sports teams.

The ACLU (American Civil liberties union) is in an uproar claiming that these laws send a message of exclusion and stigmatization. Can we talk?

We don't care how 'excluded' a trans man feels about changing in a girls locker room or playing on an all woman's team. The locker room issue is for perverts.

The growing number of high-profile competitions in which female athletes have been physically overpowered (bones broken) or displaced has shown without a shred of doubt that men need to play against men and women against women.

End of story and three cheers for the Supreme Court.
