Well, would you look at that? Two days ago a judge ruled that a group of sanitation workers who were fired for refusing to comply with New York City’s coronavirus vaccine mandate for government employees should be given back their jobs, as well as retroactive pay.
NYC is of course appealing the decision. We won't go into how many nurses and other medical care workers were fired for not taking the vaccine. We will cite one personal example of the same ilk.
A long-time employee (over 20 years) of a bank we frequent refused to get vaccinated. She was working from home and one of, if not the best employee at that bank. Get vaccinated or get fired was the ultimatum she was given. She left and that bank never replaced her, nor the other experienced employees they fired.
We are now left with newbies who don't know any of the clients in the bank. They are young, do their job and leave the moment the clock strikes five. That's one of the reasons nothing is working properly. Employees don't care. Not in banks, not in restaurants, not in hospitals, not garbagemen - you name it. Nobody cares.
It is to be noted that as time passed people did not get as sick from this virus and forcing people to take the vaccine became a right-left issue with liberal-leftists pushing the vaccines - and not just one or two. Three, four and five vaccines. Now we are left with fantastic, experienced men and women fired for, what it turns out, was no valid reason.
Seems Elon Musk is taking over Twitter by tomorrow at 5:00 pm. While we didn't really have an opinion on his purchase, today we do.
When asked why he is going to buy Twitter his response was: "I didn’t do it because it would be easy. I didn’t do it to make more money. I did it to try to help humanity, whom I love.” He is going to save humanity from itself?
Can we talk? You want to buy Twitter because you don't like the direction it is taking or you think half the tweets are from bots - be our guest. To say that you are saving civilization? That peeps is someone who is very, very full of himself.
Given that, it appears that once he acquires Twitter, he will be allowing Donald Trump back onto the platform. We can't wait to see the liberal-save-the-whales-trees-and-turtles crowd have a nuclear meltdown. Get a grip. It's free world.
Prince Harry's book is due to be released on January 10, 2023. The name of the book is a dead giveaway that it's not going to be all that nice. Spare. As in William is the heir and Harry is the spare. Ergo, the heir and the spare.
According to the press release, which is very positive, it's a self-help book: “He shares a remarkably moving personal journey from trauma to healing, one that speaks to the power of love and will inspire and encourage millions of people around the world.” Obviously the trauma is the horrific death of his mother in a car accident caused by the paparazzi relentlessly chasing her.
The other word the publisher is using to describe the book is 'raw'. That doesn't bode well for the royal family. Raw is another term for tell-all. We really, really hope that someone got to Harry and told him that going after his family publicly is not going to end well for him.
We went shopping today for a few groceries. Sticker-shock. We usually buy romaine lettuce prepackaged in packs of three because it's relatively clean, although one still has to wash it.
We used to pay between $3.99 and $5.99. Today? $10.99 for three heads of lettuce. Woah there. It appears that trucking the lettuce is a big part of the problem. Diesel prices for gas are through the roof. Packaging became very expensive. And we're guessing that the lettuce itself is scarcer because there are not enough people to pick it from the farm.
We bought regular romaine for $3.99 for one head and the dreaded iceberg. We are guessing that for many people salads will become a luxury.
In less than 2 weeks the US will be holding their mid-term elections that will determine the makeup of the next United States Congress. The democrats who are now in power thanks to Biden, appear that they are going to lose many seats.
Aside from the crime issues in many democratic states, here's another reason we really hope they get 'shmeised' out.

It is these kinds of irrelevant, useless and senseless ideas that the democrats come up with that will be their demise. Spending $5 billion to electrify school buses? Does this brainwave know that there are, by far, not enough teachers in the schools? So the kids get to school but have no teachers.
Does this genius know that that over 104,000 students in New York City’s public school system were homeless over the last school year. The overall number of students enrolling in public schools in the city went down at the same time.
Does she know that round 30,000 students were in shelters, and around 69,000 were living with other families. In addition, 5,500 youth were staying in parks, abandoned structures, and vehicles. Over 60% of homeless children who were living in temporary housing facilities were “chronically absent” last year, meaning they were gone for at least 10% of the days of school.
We have no words for how out of touch the democrats are with the real world. They make Donald Trump look like a Rhodes scholar.
Blanche, did you know that during the height of covid Trump set up a field hospital in the massive Jacob Javits Center? That he wanted to use the massive submarines docked in New York as well.
You know why? Because he wanted all covid patients to go there and to leave the actual hospitals to care for everyone else. He was ignored - as you know - and covid patients were instead sent by then democratic governor Cuomo to senior homes to infect everyone there.
Dumb, dumb, democrats. We hope they get beaten to a pulp in the midterms.

After being asked repeatedly by reporters and MP's if he stayed in that suite, he refuses to answer. Here's a tip for Justin: The longer you play around with this and pretend to be coy, the bigger this story gets.
Fess up. You're a spoiled brat and don't give a rats how much of OPM you spend as long as you are pampered. Everybody knows who you are anyway. It's not going to be a surprise to anyone.
A final note about the $133,000 that Justin was going to give to Laith Marouf to help build anti-racism strategy for Canadians. Mr. Marouf tweeted this recently: “As this debacle shows, the media across Canada are Jewish white supremacists or supporters of Jewish white supremacy.”
So who exactly vouched for him? None other than Pablo Rodriguez, the 'Honorable' Minister of Canadian Heritage and the 'Honorable' Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion.
