Obama is at it again. On Monday these were his brilliant remarks: “It is entirely legitimate for the American people to be deeply concerned when you’ve got a bunch of violent, vicious zealots who behead people or randomly shoot a bunch of folks in a deli in Paris.”
The ‘bunch of folks in a deli’ were Jews in a kosher supermarket buying challahs and other last minute items for Shabbat who were murdered for being Jews. Obama steadfastly refuses to label the attack as anti-semitic. Any Jew who votes for him needs to have their head examined. He’s not our friend and he won’t stand up for us. Publicly, he’s not an outright anti-semite…
Remember where’s Waldo? Well, here’s the new game. Where’s Hillary? Seems she’s been missing for quite a while. Well, not exactly missing, but certainly not seen anywhere. She’s tweeting so her missives know she’s still alive. Some political pundits are saying that she’s not a great campaigner and does much better in the polls when she’s not seen. We think that she had the mother-of-all facelifts and needs time to heal. Let’s wait and see when she finally surfaces. PKP – Pierre Karl Peladeau is quickly becoming the gift that keeps on giving. This time at the PQ’s national council, the highest decision making body in their party. PKP was less than stellar when it came to his turn to speak. Seems he didn’t prepare anything and ‘winged’ it. He was, to put it bluntly, a total flop in front of his own people. Then he went to an English language concert in the Quebec hinterland and when he heard that the songs were being sung in English – ergo English festival – he shouted that they should sing in French.
We have our serious doubts that he will be elected as leader, although ya never know what those aging PQ dudes will do. Until then, we’ll just sit back and enjoy the ride.
We don’t want to sound insensitive and we are not. We feel awful for the family of that young girl, Kayla Muller, the most recent isis victim. What we just don’t get are people like this young woman who go over to places like Syria to try to help the people there. As long as there is tribal warfare, with the tribes intent on killing each other, the save-the-world people who venture there are going to get caught up in the crossfire. Can we talk? It’s not worth it. They are not going to save anyone and as is the case with this young girl, will most likely be taken hostage by one of the tribes or factions.
Here’s the script: The pretty girl with nice blonde hair changes her mind about her political affiliation and poof! just like that, moves over to the other party led by the pretty boy also with nice thick hair. Wait, it gets better. The blonde’s boyfriend, until recently a confident of the current leader, also jumps ship and with him go all the inner secrets of the cabinet and our Prime Minister.
Ladies and gents, dis ain’t no fiction. It really happened yesterday when Eve Adams who was elected to the Conservative party ‘crossed the floor’ and just like that became a liberal. Ah but you ask, what about all those people who voted her in as a conservative. Who cares about those silly little people.
Now the story gets juicy: Adams met with Harper on Jan. 5 to get his blessing to run for a Conservative nomination. According to sources, she assured the prime minister that she and her fiancé, Dimitri Soudas, were finished. The sources said Harper leaned toward Adams and told her he knew Soudas was sitting in the hotel lobby waiting for her. He then informed her that the party’s national council deals with nominations and, with that, the meeting was concluded.
What’s with Soudas? He has been in and out of a high level position with Harper over the past few years. Obviously he’s now out and he was the one who helped broker the deal between the Liberal party and his beloved. The plot thickens.
Here’s something that won’t come as a surprise: When future generations look back on the global-warming scare of the past 30 years, nothing will shock them more than the extent to which the official temperature records – on which the entire panic ultimately rested – were systematically “adjusted” to show the Earth as having warmed much more than the actual data justified.
Some dude by the name of Paul Homewood, who, on his Notalotofpeopleknowthat blog, had checked the published temperature graphs for three weather stations in Paraguay against the temperatures that had originally been recorded. In each instance, the actual trend of 60 years of data had been dramatically reversed, so that a cooling trend was changed to one that showed a marked warming. Time will tell who’s telling the truth but as people living in Montreal or Boston will attest, global warming hasn’t shown up yet.
