When we wrote the report, the media was barely reporting the shooting in Texas. We are very well aware that 14 small children and a teacher were murdered by yet another teenage young man with mental health issues.
We will say this again: No amount of gun control can stop people like this. By the time the 911 call is made, the deed is done.
Someone in their families has to recognize that these boys have deeply serious mental health issues and need to contact authorities. Then, the authorities have to cut through the red tape and bureaucracy and make sure these boys are quickly seen by a professional and assessed.
Guns are available everywhere. Stop that rhetoric and deal with the real solution.
