With a heavy heart, I am writing to tell you, my dear readers, that my beloved mother passed away today.
In the Jewish religion, our custom is to sit shiva for a week, suspending life as we know it. As such, Blanche will not be publishing again until next Tuesday.
Every mother is exceptional and mine was no different… well perhaps a bit different. Despite many physical challenges in her life, starting at the relatively young age of 37, she was a strong, determined, vibrant woman who never, ever gave up.
She was 92 years old and 92 years young.
