Bud Light’s parent company Anheuser-Busch has lost $3 billion in market value following its endorsement of a transgender social media influencer. He, as you can see from the picture, is on the Bud Light can of beer is pretending to be a she when he is still a he and people are, mercifully done with this.
He's also making barrels and barrels of money.
Billy Bob and Mary Joe living in Texas want a beer with no politics attached. They have enough drama in their lives without a beer company deciding that punkt they are going to support the transgender population of America.
Sales of Anheuser-Busch bottled products dropped 30% over the past week, while draft beer plunged 50%.
One analyst cited a scenario in Texas, where Bud Light has long sponsored a weekly dart league that draws more than 100 players every Thursday. The bar usually blows through three kegs of Bud Light at the event — nearly 500 12-ounce glasses. This week, the bar sold a grand total of four bottles of Bud Light.
Here's a headline for Anheuser-Busch: To save face you are not backing down from a decision that was clearly wrong? The dude you picked to represent you has clearly turned off your customers. Why?
Because he represents the woke bs culture and guess what? Peeps just want to go have a beer and not have to look at the punim - face - of some dude who thinks he's a woman when in fact he's a man. Good morning America. He wants to live like that? No problem. But stay in your own lane, as Anheuser-Busch should.
There is no such thing as almost pregnant. You either are pregnant or you are not. Same with creating a secular society. It is either secular or it is not, especially when you pass draconian, heavy-handed laws to make sure it is secular. Except if you live in quebec.
When the czar legault said the following in a Tweet: Catholicism has also engendered in us a culture of solidarity that distinguishes us on a continental scale - people were, to put it mildly, taken aback. Really? They were surprised?
czar legault is secular like we're an endangered turtle. He's a white catholic, pure-laine, french canadian who celebrates easter and is not secular. The fact that he doesn't want the province to be inundated with hijab wearing women is another thing entirely and the underlying, not so subtle reason for all the ridiculous laws using the premise of creating a secular society.
He's not giving up his religion. For as long as he's in power he will keep himself in check, with the occasional slip like the one last week. Once he's no longer czar he will be a full out, catholic, complete with looking for easter eggs.
czar legault will only be happy when quebec is white, pure-laine french canadian. Ergo, make quebec white again.
And speaking of ridiculous. McGill has put themselves into the ridiculous column big time.
The student council that runs the McGill university newspaper decided that because James McGill, after whom the university was named, was racist, they will no longer be calling their university newspaper the McGill Tribune. Nope. Now they are just The Tribune. Why?
It seems that McGill, who was born in 1744 and died in 1813 was a slave owner. Never mind that slave owners were part of the culture then. Of course it was obscene and wrong. But to drop his name from their masthead now, over 300 years later? Get a life people.
McGill University is playing coy and saying that the newspaper is its own entity and they have no say in what the student council does.
We say these students are part of the university and as such, whatever they do, regardless if the newspaper is a separate legal entity, affects the public's view of McGill. In this case, it's called entitled young adults deciding, in their little, narrow liberal, woke brains, that McGill was bad.
If that's the game they want to play, then every street in Montreal, New York, Boston, Los Angeles - name a city - will have to drop thousands of street names because at some point in history, people who have streets named after them did something that the woke little darlings won't like. Blanche, see how juvenile this is?
And then there's Justin. Ah Justin. He has the uncanny gift of being able to go from one crisis to the next, managing to overlap each one. It's quite the talent.
He recently slid right from admitting he was the one who stayed in the $6000 USD a night penthouse suite during the Queen's funeral into the Chinese interfering with our election right into appointing David Johnston, a close family friend, as the 'rapporteur' to look into the said scandal.
Over the last few months amid reporting on foreign interference, attention has been put on the Trudeau Foundation. Now would you look at that - all the board members of the Trudeau Foundation have resigned en masse. What is that all about?
Why? It appears that members' had ties to the current government and they decided that it would be prudent to reveal that the foundation had several years ago accepted a $200,000 donation from a Chinese businessman with ties to the Chinese government.
In March, the president of the foundation said they had refunded "all amounts received with respect to the donation pledge," because of the potential China connection. It was reported that the amount being returned was actually $140,000.
Now here's the kicker: David Johnston the rapporteur investigating monies coming from China to ostensibly interfere with our election, was, until this appointment, one of the Trudeau foundation directors.
See how Justin gets himself into a mess? He thinks we're all airheads like he is. As he is finding out, we're not.
Mercifully, one week after the 2.0 ice storm, everyone finally has their power back. Hydro Quebec, the czar legault and everyone involved in this massive cover-up, incompetent mess should be fired.
Alas, there is a deathly silence from the liberal opposition party here. Get them a plot, bury them and put them out of their misery.
It will also be a wake-up call to anyone thinking for half a second that there is any opposition to the czar. He. Has. No. Opposition. He. Can and Does. What. He. Wants.
Rant over.
Good Shabbos
We'll talk...
