This morning we read a long op-ed in the National Post by Anthony Housefather. As we kept reading, we just weren't sure where he was going.
In the end, he regurgitated all that has happened since October 7, gave everybody a history lesson of the persecution of the Jews over the millenium and pointed out that Jews far exceed their contribution to society given their small numbers. Wonderful.
When we got to the last sentence we realized that Housefather is trying to keep himself in the loop, in the news and relevant.
The last words in his article were: Action is needed. Not just empty words. Seriously? That's all he could come up with after his party turned on Israel when they are fighting for their lives?
How about this: The party I knew and supported for decades has become a party I no longer know nor can support. Ah, but that would take kahoonas.
Sorry buddy. This op-ed smacks of self-preservation. Make up your mind what you are doing.

If you call packing a room with over 1400 people the wall with the writing, then Housefather best read the wall.
For years the people in his riding voted for the candidate and the party. Liberal till we die. That assured a win for whoever ran. This time is different.
If Anthony chooses to stay with the liberals, he may very well lose what has been a liberal stronghold for generations. There is a tsunami of support for the Conservative party and for Pierre Poilievre and an intense distaste for Justin. It's well known that people don't vote for someone or a party, they vote against someone or a party.
If the attendance for Poilievre the other night is any indication of what's coming, Anthony best be reading the tea leaves and make up his mind. And it's not rocket science what he has to do in order to be on the right side of history.
Professing his love for the Jewish people and Israel is well and good. Now it's time to put your money where your mouth is. If the former sentence is true, then in all good conscience, he cannot remain in the liberal party. The clock is ticking.

It's our guess that last week's fiasco finally tilted the scale when he and his moronic sidekick who masquerades as our foreign minister, melanie joly supported the ndp's motion to toss Israel under the bus. It didn't help that Joly together with Ya'ara Saks were fondling and caressing abbas the week before. The man has Jewish blood on his hands.
From The Daily Wire: A new poll out of Canada found that if national elections were currently held, a political thunderquake would shake the nation, with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party thrown out of power and the Conservative Party, led by Pierre Poilievre, completely dominating the Canadian Parliament.
We wonder which part of this scenario Anthony Housefather is finding difficult to absorb. He is now attached to someone who not only looks like a loser, he is one.

In the desperado department, President Joe Biden's handlers called in the cavalry, namely Barack Hussein Obama and Bill Clinton to boost Biden. Tonight there is a massive fund-raiser at no less than Radio City Music Hall.
Biden has become his own personal gong-show and everybody knows Obama has been running the show all along. Now it's official. He will be at Biden's side until the election. As for Clinton...not sure about him. He's tainted but obviously still able to rally the troops and raise money. Lots of it.
What we don't get is how anybody in their right mind would vote for Biden. He may not be senile yet but he's operating on slo-mo. That's who democrats want to lead their country? Mind-boggling.
We did not think it possible, but Kamala Harris actually outdid herself in the how dumb can you be department.
She was visiting Puerto Rico and was caught on camera gleefully clapping and smiling along to a protest song. In fact, the song was protesting against her.
Here are the lyrics she was clapping to: "We want to know, Kamala, what did you come here for? We want to know what you think of the colony, Long live Free Palestine and Haiti, too.”
And she's running for vice president again? G-d has to save Americans from themselves.

On Wednesday night, Paul St-Pierre Plamondon complained on Twitter, about T-shirts and hoodies reading “Gilles-Courteau Trophy playoffs” worn by players from the Drummondville Voltigeurs. The Gilles-Courteau Trophy is the league’s championship trophy.
What??? They used the word trophy in English?? Off with their heads. Everybody in quebec is going to faint or implode because somebody used an English word.

BREAKING NEWS: Israel's Supreme Court has issued a ruling of unprecedented severity against the haredi yeshiva world, ordering the government to immediately stop funding yeshivas with students who are required to serve in the IDF.
This includes all students under the age of 26.
The ruling is a significant change in several decades of exemption from military service for haredi yeshiva students and a seismic shift in relations between the haredi community and the rest of the state.
