Housefather's Opinion Piece in the National Post Skirted the Real Issue...BRAVO Rabbi Jacobson!...

ree

Anthony Housefather wrote an opinion piece in the National Post entitled Combatting Hate Actually Protects Communities of Faith.”

He spends much of the article explaining, correctly, that no one should be intimidated, obstructed, or harassed when they want to pray in their houses of worship. On that narrow point, he is right. But he misses two glaring and inexcusable realities.

First, Jews do not only need protection inside synagogues, schools, or community centres. Jews are being targeted while walking to work, shopping for groceries, walking in malls, riding public transit, and living in their own neighbourhoods, particularly in Toronto, but increasingly elsewhere as well.

Second, and far worse, Housefather never once states the obvious truth: it is Jews who are being targeted in Canada, in Australia, and across the Western world. In order not to 'offend' anyone, the truth, that it is the Jews who are the real targets, never appears in his article.

Here's a headline Mr. Housefather: For the past two and a half years, it is the Jew who has been the target of online and physical hatred. Not black people. Not muslims. Not Asians. Jews. And certainly not mosques.

Near the end of the piece, Housefather claims he wants to “reassure communities of faith” that the Combatting Hate Act enhances their rights.

Communities of faith? Infuriating. Absolutely infuriating. Why is he afraid to say the truth? This deliberate vagueness is precisely the problem.

There is not a single other 'community of faith' in Canada that needs reassurance just to shop in a mall without being yelled at, threatened, or mobbed by ignorant Hamas apologists. This is a Jewish problem and the refusal to say so is directly why it continues.

Jews are the targets. His own people. The silence on that point is deafening.

Frankly, the article would have been better left unwritten.

When antisemitism - Jew-hating, cannot even be named plainly, it is no surprise that Jews continue to be targeted.

Does Anthony not know that laws already exist, particularly in Montreal and Toronto, that could be enforced tomorrow? Of course he does. But he wants to be the 'savior' by promoting this long-winded rubbish. Buddy - it is your leader, your government in power that chooses not to intervene or demand enforcement.

Until the Liberal Party of Canada replaces hollow rhetoric with enforcement, and until police are told, clearly and unequivocally, to stop mobs from targeting Jews in everyday public life, articles like this are nothing but political noise. They exist to sound concerned while doing nothing.

Housefather chose to remain with the Liberals. In doing so, he also chose to wear the garmets of silence in the face of open, bold Jew-haters. Good luck to him.

Nobody wants to hear from him nor read his foolish and frankly infuriating articles.

You can now see, in real time, the result of remaining silent and not acting against radicalized muslims.

Most European cities have cancelled christmas markets. They cannot protect their citizens from radicalized islamists, like the ones in Bondi.

"Every year huge crowds gather in Paris at the Champs-Élysées to ring in the new year with fireworks and concerts. Much like the New Year’s Eve parties in Times Square in New York City, the joyous festivities are a key link in the chain of worldwide celebrations of the year to come. No more.

There will be no one to count the countdown because the Champs-Élysées has become France’s latest ‘no-go’zone’.

Ten years ago, Mayor Anne Hidalgo of Paris had threatened to sue FOX News for correctly reporting that there were ‘no-go-zones’ in Paris. “The image of Paris has been prejudiced, and the honour of Paris has been prejudiced,” she fumed.

Now, Mayor Hidalgo decided that even with the 6,000 police officers that had been deployed to secure the Paris event last year, the Champs-Élysées could not be protected against Islam."

Now you understand why Housefather's article was ridiculous? He is just regurgitating the same foolish words while the intimidation continues unabated.

...In case Mr. Housefather thinks we are the only person voicing this opinion, here's a great line from Beryl Wajsman, editor of the Suburban (a local Montreal newpaper):

If the world had an islamophobia problem, we would be protecting mosques...not synagogues, churches and Christmas Markets.

...Next comes the utterly insane decision to release on bail a man charged, along with two others associated with the Islamic State, with involvement in two attempted kidnappings in the Greater Toronto Area, targeting women and members of the Jewish community. Let that sink in: alleged ISIS-linked suspects, accused of targeting Jews, are back on the streets. This is not justice. It is institutional recklessness.

...In the good-morning America-it's-about-time department, Georgetown University has removed UN 'Special Rapporteur' and hamas supporter Francesca Albanese from its list of affiliated scholars, deleting her biography and profile from the university’s website, according to archived web pages reviewed this week.

Not exactly sure why they did this. Certainly not for the donations they lost, as Georgetown has received approximately $1 billion from Qatar since 2005.

Counter all this foolish empty rhetoric with a rabbi in our city who had the courage to say what the Jewish community has been asking our leaders to say out long for over two years. Rabbi Asher Jacobson spoke the truth passionately and fearlessly...

First he said what we have been hearing and know: Truth and light will overcome darkness and evil. But he went one step further with a message to our Prime Minister Mark Carney, who specifically called out:

"I say to the leader of Canada Mark Carney: In the light of the massacre in Bondi Beach, we do not care for your thoughts, and your prayers. We do not care for your sympathies that you are sorry for the Jewish community.

If the leader of Canada, if the leader of Australia, if the leader of France cannot stand up and secure and protect the citizens of this country, then do us all a favor and leave this position, leave office and let someone with the fortitude and the strength and the gumption take your place..."

Got that Housefather? That's your leader he's talking about. The one you grovel to, the one who throws you bones to keep you in check.

Rabbi Jacobson spoke as a loud, proud Jew. Thank you.

We thought the protests on the streets of Montreal had ended as there is no mention of them in any media. Guess what? They are alive and well but not being reported.

Today, on the eve of the holiday, pro-hamas idiots were standing in front of a church. Aren't places of worship off limits? Where are the police Madame Mayor Ferrada? Why are they standing around watching?

We saved the 'best' for last. Imagine getting excited about receiving a “Season’s Greetings” card from these two?

People are asking where their children are. Here's our answer:

If they didn't attend his swearing in as prime minister, they sure ain't going to pose with mom and dad for a holiday picture. Shreklach.

We'll talk...
