It's not that the shul was shot up on Yom Kippur. Sadly, that was going to happen eventually. Why in a small town with one synagogue is nothing short of a miracle.

What keeps on happening and is infuriating is that we get the same ridiculous, empty platitudes from politicians. Let's start with what that foolish Anthony Housefather put out:

Praying for the police officer, whose heroism outside the Sons of Jacob synagogue in Belleville kept people safe. The shooter must face the full extent of the law. Jewish communities have a right to be & feel safe in Canada. Waiting for police to investigate before saying more.

Well, the shooter has since died so facing the full extent of the law is a moot point.

It's the next two sentences that say absolutely nothing.

Jewish communities have a right to be and feel safe in Canada? Oh really now. Here's a lightbulb moment for little Anthony and all his cohorts: Instead of saying nothing in fifteen different ways, how about doing something?

This synagogue was very lucky that they had an armed policeman sitting in an unmarked car right outside the door. In quebec we have yet to see an armed policeman sitting outside a synagogue. Which means, we are sitting ducks while the bad guys manage to get whatever guns they so choose.

Had that policeman not been there with a gun, we would be writing a very different story.

In the US, when there's a mass shooting or any shooting of consequence, within about 6 hours everybody knows what color underwear the shooter was wearing.

Here's what we want to know: Did he have a criminal record, previous arrests, antisemitic statements, extremist affiliations, social-media posts, manifesto, threats against Jews, or previous incidents involving the synagogue.

Don't hold your breath waiting for any answers.

The police here either have antiquated equipment or they work like molasses. No matter which it is, it's going to take a very long time to find out why yet another angry white man wanted to kill Jews.

Of all the people to come out and challenge Abdul El-Sayed and his tight ties to Hasan Piker, the father of Todd Beamer, is the one to do so.

We will jog your memory. On 9/11 Todd Beamer was on flight 93 that was scheduled to hit either the White House or Congress. Beamer and his fellow passengers decided to avert whatever plans the terrorists had and made a plan of their own that they prayed would work.

When they were ready to take action, Todd Beamer said these famous words: "Let's roll" Those 43 martrys died saving thousands of lives. Abdul El-Sayed was in bed with Hasan Piker when he said that America deserved 9/11.

David Beamer, Todd's father, went after Sayed with both barrels blazing: “The 43 people on Flight 93 were not victims, they were killed in action. When I hear anyone suggest America deserved 9/11, my question is, ‘Who would say that?'”

Exactly. Who, except someone who hates America would say that. And guess what? If Piker and Abdul hate America so much, we strongly suggest they both be put into a coma so they cannot fight back and then put him on a one-way trip to Iran. Who needs those people?

There's an election in Quebec on October 5 and we are inundated with polls, the latest one showing the separatist party has now taken the lead. Can we talk?

About 70% of quebecers have less than zero interest in a referendum. So how is it that the one party that is pushing said referendum is now in the lead?

Here's our guess: People are lying to the pollsters, as often happens. quebecers don't want to sound like they are not willing to give up their Canadian social security checks for their province, so they just tell the pollsters that yes, we are voting for the separatist party.

As we said last week, when Hillary lost to Trump, the same thing happened. People lied to the pollsters and Trump literally trumped Hillary.

Perhaps it's wishful thinking, but we simply cannot believe that if 70% of the population doesn't want what one party is offering, that they those polls are accurate. It just doesn't add up.

The Royal family is getting hammered yet again. Diana's brother, Charles Spencer’s new memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, was released today and delivers startling revelations about the late princess and the royal family, much of which we already knew.

One has to wonder why he waited 29 years to write this is anyone's guess. Ours is that he needs the money. Badly.

Whatever happened all those years ago is history. What's the point of dredging it up all over again? The two people he probably didn't really want to hurt, William and Harry, are the ones who will bear the brunt of the dirt coming out of this book.

It is to be noted that the Royal family were shamefully absent in the first few days after Diana was killed. It was only after intense public pressure that they returned to London to publicly mourn Diana's death and lower the flag to half-mast.

Nonetheless, it is awfully strange that, after all these years, Spencer has suddenly decided to spill the proverbial beans.

Between Harry, Meghan and Andrew, the Royal Family seems to be spending an inordinate amount of time putting out fires. Just when one appears to be under control, another starts burning. So aside from living in a fishbowl all the time, they have to deal with a really screwed up family.

The new leader of the NDP party in Canada is one of the most disgusting, self-hating Jews we have ever seen. We know it's almost not possible, but Avi Lewis is at the very least on par with Bernie Sanders who spoke on Yom Kippur in a church. After 120 years, Sanders is going to see what a fool he was all these years. But we digress.

Avi Lewis chose Yom Kippur to blame the Jews for what is happening in the world now.

Ongoing genocide you piece of drek? There is something particularly repulsive about people like Avi Lewis casually hurling the word genocide at Israel and then congratulating themselves on their moral courage.

That has nothing to do with courage. It’s cheap and cowardly and requires absolutely nothing from him except the willingness to join the mob.

You want courage Lewis? Try standing up for Israel when doing so might actually cost you something. Until then, shut up and spare us the sanctimonious garbage.

CBC National Radio News Reader Neil Herland says he was taunted and intimidated by protesters as he tried to enter a Toronto building for Yom Kippur services Monday night.

“On Yom Kippur I went to a synagogue service in Toronto and was met by protesters trying to taunt and intimidate me from entering the building,” Herland wrote on X, identifying himself simply as both a journalist and a Jew.

But what he wrote next is chilling.

Herland’s late father was an Austrian Jew who survived the Holocaust and eventually came to Canada as a refugee. Herland says he has now obtained an Austrian passport of his own as a precaution in case Canada becomes unsafe for him as a Jew. “I fear that moment is approaching.”

His post came just one day after a synagogue in Belleville, Ontario, came under attack.

Why are these idiots allowed to be anywhere near a synagogue on Yom Kippur? Where are the police? Now you understand what a pile of crap Anthony Housefather's comment above that Jewish communities have a right to be & feel safe in Canada is. A total load of manure.
