Israel Caught in the Crosshairs...Da Popeness is American...

One fluke Houthi hit near Ben Gurion and airlines folded like dominoes.

We’re not flying into Israel until… when exactly? No one knows. Meanwhile, Israeli airlines are flying in and out just fine.

So why did British Airways say they won’t resume flights until June 15?Seriously?

Did no one notice that not a single Houthi missile has come close to Israel since last Saturday night?

The problem now is this dance of the deadlines. Airlines say they’ll resume flights and then, as they did last summer, claw that date back.

Who wants to gamble on booking a flight with that kind of uncertainty?

Israel was just getting back on its feet. Tourism was revving up. Now? Who knows what will happen.

Let’s stop the charade. What happened yesterday at Columbia wasn’t some spontaneous “protest.”

It was a highly organized, masked mob that stormed the library, vandalized property with “free palestine” graffiti, with the ultimate goal of harassing Jewish students.

And we're sick of calling these events protests.

They are a targeted act of antisemitism, carried out with precise coordination, no doubt funded by Qatar or one of the other Hamas-sympathizing regimes.

Dozens were arrested. And Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that the U.S. is reviewing the visas of all foreign nationals involved.

Trump’s team is going further, revoking student visas by the hundreds and slamming elite universities like Columbia by revoking their funding. Enabling this climate of hate is out of control.

Disagree with Trump on tariffs all you want. But on this? He’s dead right.

And while we're at it, let’s make masks illegal at protests. If you're going to openly support Hamas, have the guts to show your face.

***Part 2 of Israel's Problems...***

Israel’s crisis goes far beyond tourism. The war effort is devouring the nation’s budget, and now the fallout is hitting the home front.

In a stunningly shortsighted move, the government slashed teacher salaries, triggering mass walkouts and the closure of 152 schools nationwide. With one parent often serving in the reserves, working families are now left with no childcare, no income, and no support—all while trying to survive a war.

But the collapse isn't just in education. As resources are funneled into defense, critical social services are being gutted. Food insecurity is rising. Emotional stress is deepening.

And why is this happening? Even Netanyahu’s most loyal supporters are beginning to see the truth: he has no incentive to end this war. The second a peace deal is reached he and his cohorts will be accountable for the brutal massacre on October 7.

And still, he keeps sending young men into Gaza, a nightmarish labyrinth of sewer tunnels and booby traps—where the enemy moves like rats.

The soldiers are exhausted. The population is tired of war.

It’s time to strike a deal for the remaining hostages. Waiting much longer means bringing all of them home in body bags.

And that, too, will be on him.

We live in a place where the government has not the faintest hint of a clue a) how to manage our money and b) that they don't have the right to throw our money into the terlit - consistently.

Legault is in big trouble and because of his poor, to say the least, governing. As such, our credit rating was downgraded. Even we understood what this means:

A confluence of factors including slowing population growth, higher remuneration spending, and lower revenues were set to weaken the Province of Quebec's fiscal standing in the next three years with persistent operating deficits and large after-capital deficits-–even before heightened economic uncertainty related to tariffs.

As such, Standard and Poors downgraded, lowered our credit rating from A+ to AA-.

And what does that mean?

This signals a greater risk that we may be unable to repay our debts. A lower credit rating typically leads to higher borrowing costs and less favorable interest rates on loans and bonds.

In other words, we will be paying a higer interest rate for what we borrow. And as the province is nearly bankrupt, that's very bad news.

To deflect from this, Legault decided to go after the doctors yesterday. Look over there, not here. I'm fooling you. No you're not.

He had a bill tabled today that would give the Quebec government the authority to regulate how health professionals are compensated, with the goal of getting them to take on more patients.

This is coming to you from the government who is spending a minimum of $1billion to fix the roof on the Big Owe. And by the government who 'revamped' the license bureau website to the tune of $1.1 billion, an overrun of $500 million. And it still doesn't work at all.

Do they think that by going after the doctors all their troubles will suddenly disappear? Maybe for the people in the 'regions' but not for anyone who lives in a city.

One hospital in east end Montreal is literally falling apart. No money for that, but billions to fix the roof on the Big Owe.

We challenge you to find us more incompetent fools running any government anywhere in North America. Except for those brainwaves in Seattle and Portland, no one else comes close.

We certainly hope the liberal party can get their act together - after taking more than four years to find a new leader - and get someone in there that people can vote for.

Good Shabbos

We'll talk...
