Sick Heroes...The Mind-Boggling Incompetence of Legault et al...Yes, Hillary Clinton Said Something We Liked...

ree

You may recall last December, Luigui Mangione shot UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in the back as he left his hotel in Manhattan. Mangione then disappeared for a few days creating a massive manhunt. He was found in a MacDonalds somewhere in Pennsylvania.

What is completely bizarre here is this: He has become a hero, an icon. Brian Thompson was a husband, the father of two children, a son, a brother...you get the drift. He had a life other than being the CEO of UnitedHealthCare.

And Mangione is a hero now? Really? The man murders Thompson in cold blood and somehow graduates into a “symbol of resistance” against corporate health care. His followers couldn’t care less about the killing; in their eyes Thompson isn’t a victim, just the walking embodiment of everything wrong with medical insurance.

In a sick show of support, some of Mangione’s groupies arrived at court dressed in costumes of “Luigi” from the Super Mario video games. His fans said that they support Mangione for his stand against the U.S. health care system.

Can we talk?

Clearly the healthcare system in the US needs repair, to put it mildly. In fact, so do health care systems all over the world. Especially when it comes to insurance companies who literally hold your life in their hands.

If they decide not to cover life-saving medication you need because it is too expensive, and you will die without that medication, well, you die because those making decisions don't know you and protect the money of their companies. That is as wrong as murdering somebody because they are the face of those companies, which is exactly what happened.

That is, pardon the pun, dead wrong and absolutely chilling.

Quebec's Bill 2 is the most ignorant, foolish, catastrophically shortsighted, insanely incompetent bill ever put forth by Francois Legault and his now vanished health minister Dube.

In a nutshell: Legault and his bureaucrats are expecting doctors to do triple the amount of work while not offering any support whatsoever and taking a 15% cut in salary.

To say that is a totally unrealistic expectation is the understatement of the year. And it fits perfectly with the billions of dollars they lost during their reign of power.

They don't know what they are doing. Period. In case you think we are exaggerating, think again. Here is a very partial list of the staggering failures of legault's government and the costs:

SAAQ clic (SAAQ Digital Modernization)

Original cost: $638M. Actual cost and still counting: $1.1B

Northvolt Battery Plant

Original cost: $510M. The company went bankrupt and what we know is they lost $210M

Olympic Stadium Roof Replacement (total waste of money)

$870M and counting

Health IT System Overruns (RAMQ modernization, interoperability projects)

Original cost: $300–400M. Actual cost and counting: $700M

Highway & transport project overruns (Autoroute projects, REM add-ons)

Original cost: $200–400M. Actual cost: $200M overrun and counting

Le Panier Bleu - remember that website started by quebec during covid?

This one is a bit more complicated but you'll get the drift.

When Le Panier Bleu became a private company in 2022,  Québec gave $12M

When Le Panier Bleu shut down in 2024, Quebec paid out $6 M

It appears $20-$25M of our money was sunk into the ridiculous venture.

And this peeps, is the tip of the iceberg and as you can see, the quebec government is mind-bogglingly inefficient and incompetent.

Now they want us to believe that their bureaucrats are going govern the doctors because they are 'not performing' well? Who exactly is not performing well? Certainly not the doctors.

Our clinic services about 600,000 people a year. It is the only sexual assault clinic in downtown Montreal. And it will announce its closing January 1 if something is not done to stop legault and his minions.

As the owner of our clinic said today, if the amount of clinics who say they are closing actually close, your wait of 8-12 hours in the emergency will become 8-12 days.

We truly live in the twilight zone.

Never, not once, did we ever think Hillary Clinton was a friend of the Jewish people. Turns out, she is.

Speaking at a summit in the Hilton Hotel in New York, she said what every Jew has been saying both silently and out loud, especially since October 7: we have lost the narrative.

She went on to say that years ago she told Israeli leaders that their communication strategy lagged behind their adversaries. “Israel simply isn’t telling its story effectively,”

She was 100% correct.

She contended that the American divide over Israel is fundamentally generational.

Younger activists frequently repeat slogans devoid of historical or geographical understanding. Ain't that the truth.

As Condoleezza Rice recently highlighted, some protesters chanting “from the river to the sea” are unable to specify the river or the sea to which they refer.

She characterized mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani as an adept social-media strategist whose focus on bread-and-butter economic issues resonated deeply with younger voters. His digital campaign, she argued, should be examined closely, irrespective of one’s political sympathies.

Clinton concluded by urging Israel and its supporters to modernize their outreach strategies, noting that short-form content and viral messaging increasingly overshadow traditional diplomatic channels. “If you want to reach young people you must meet them where they are.” Touche.

While Francois Legault can be infuriating, we must applaud his latest edict: Planning to ban public street prayer.

Under madame Plante, this law would have been ignored. We are hoping that under our new mayor, Sorraya Martinez Ferrada (known from now on as Madame Ferrada) will actually follow through and arrest the idiots who block streets in the name of their religion. Which of course is the biggest crock going.

That act is called initimidation. Nothing less.

If you are one of those who are crying that this is directed with a laser beam at muslims, go ahead and cry. There are about 200 mosques in Montreal, with plenty of room for all the new muslims aka those who have 'found religion'.

Good riddance to all of them and kudos to Legault.

We are not wont to make predictions, but we're going out on a limb and making one here.

The next quebec election is scheduled for October 2026. We are predicting that the next election will be March or April 2026. Here's why.

The quebec liberal party is imploding and their leader, Pablo Rodriquez is unable to stop the bleeding. Even his great hair isn't helping him.

Today, he kicked Marwah Rizqy out of the Liberal caucus. Then he reinstated the person she fired, who is just so happens is also his very good friend and was Rizqy's chief of staff, Geneviève Hinse. Dumb move.

Marwah Rizqy is no neophyte when it comes to politics. Her dismissal of Hinse was, according to her, due to significant ethical breaches," which were compounded by "repeated acts of insubordination."

This was not said lightly. Rizqy was an integral part of both the quebec liberal party and political scene. Now, she's out.

So why will an election be called sooner than later? Because Legault sees an opening to get himself back into power.

The PQ - quebec's separatist party is a one idea show - separate from the rest of Canada which it seems 65% of quebecers don't want.

The conservative party may be the one to gain from the liberals implosion, but are not well known outside of Montreal.

As for Rodriguez, he’s toast.

Text messages have now surfaced, reportedly between two individuals working directly to get him elected discussing the sale of membership cards and money being thrown around to pad his vote count.

And what does Rodriguez do? He offers the most useless of all political non-answers: the party will investigate. Really? Who exactly is advising him?

Either it didn’t happen, or it did and he has to own it. But this weak “we’ll look into it” routine?

It makes him look like a man who has a) no idea who is running his own party and b)who is responsible for their implosion.

And in politics, weakness is the kiss of death.

Ergo, an early election.

We'll talk...
