TIFF Folds...The Two-State Solution is No Solution...No, You Cannot Strike...Legault Wonders Why He's So Disliked. Really?

The people who run TIFF, the Toronto International film festival, have zero kahoonas.

A couple of days ago they said that the film The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue, a documentary about the massacre by Hamas on October 7, 2023 by respected film maker Barry Avrich, would not be allowed to be shown at their festival. Why?

Among the weak reasons was one that was so blatantly ignorant it was beyond the pale.

Avrich did not get permission for all the clips shown in the film. Those films were shot by terrorists while they were massacring and raping Jews. He should have gone to and paid hamas for permission? Are the inmates running the asylum at TIFF?

It appears the real reason they didn't want to show it is that they are afraid of the protesters who have been able to do what they want in Toronto. Mayor Olivia Chow seems to think Israel is the aggressor and so the Jews are getting what they deserve, ergo protests are allowed at will.

Ah, but TIFF is a very fancy event and a messy protest would not be welcome. Here's our suggestion: Go speak to your mayor and ask her why she's allowing people who have not a clue about what is happening in the Middle East, could not find Israel on a map if you paid them and clearly have no job, why she has not put a stop to the protests.

How is she still allowing them to 'pray' in the middle of the street when they have mosques all over the city?

TIFF screwed up big time and we hope the protesters are relentless during their little party.

We have said this more than once here and today there was an article in the National Post saying the same thing.

Hamas will only accept a two-state solution if Israel is wiped off the map. Gone.

Now what is our foolish prime minister going to do?

He put it out there for all to see that in September he will vote at the UN for a two-state solution. hamas has said outright that it doesn't want that.

So will Carney call someone in hamas to have a tea and talk about it? He thinks you can reason with brutal, inhumane, sick terrorists. No you can't. Their deal is death to Israel or no deal.

Anthony Housefather parroted what Carney said. He is such a fool we’ve run out of adjectives. He just repeats whatever Carney says like a wind-up bobblehead at a dollar store hoping that Carney will throw him a bone.

Housefather - hamas wants Israel gone. Period. They are not interested in talking. They don't need a new swimming pool to placate them. They are not wishy-washy like you. They said it straight. Now what are you going to do? Maybe look down for a minute and find your kahoonas.

Really? During the summer, in the height of the vacation period is when flight attendants choose to go on strike? They clearly know this is a critical time and clearly that's why they chose it.

There are some people who support the flight attendants. We're guessing they are not the ones holding, oh, let's say 6 airline tickets to get to a pre-paid cruise with pre-paid tours in various cities.

So Air Canada will refund you. And? What's happens to the rest of your non-refundable vacation? Especially if you booked early and got a great deal. Now? Trying booking a flight anywhere. You will pay top dollar if you can get a ticket at all.

While flight attendants are not essential services, they do cause major havoc by going on strike.

Here's our solution, one we have suggested before: Lock both parties in a room with one bathroom. The food is brought in. Nobody comes out until a settlement is reached.

While the flight attendants are not quite the snowflake generation, they are not far away.

What gives them the right to decide to strike in the heart of the vacation period when hard-working people planned and saved and will lose thousands of dollars.

Who says their salaries are more important than anyone else's?

Sorry, we don't sympathize with them at all. They are holding the public hostage for their own gain. And that is disgusting.

Some people get it, some don't. Brian Lilley is non-Jewish journalist and he gets it. As he has said and wrote... in all the save-the-gazan protests he has yet to see one sign about the hostages nor any indication that people know or care about hamas hijacking food from their own people.

Whoever is running the protests - and someone is running them - they clearly have the same agenda as hamas. The eradication of Israel.

Hamas and all radical muslims want three things: First and foremost, to wipe Israel off the map. Next to convert all the infidels (that would be everyone) to islam and finally, to have sharia law worldwide.

To this end they have infiltrated universities, cities and governments. They clearly have very savvy lobbyists all over the world. They don't tell you the above three points. Rather, they point the finger at Israel, blaming them for whatever they can come up with.

It's the old don't look here, look there trick. And it's working. Most people have no idea about Israel's history so they foolishly fall for lies.

The sad reality is that most people have no purpose in their lives so finding a cause - true or false - fills that void. This time it's Israel. Last time was blm. The time before was George Floyd.

The difference this time is that hating Israel has become a worldwide phenomenon. That Jews contribute to the world vastly beyond their numbers means nothing. That arabs for the most part are a blight on the world means nothing.

We will remind you that every issue at airports was caused by an arab trying to blow up a plane. Think about that for a minute. As we used to say all the time - Morris the accountant is not planting a bomb in his shoe.

We are now left with only one hope - that G-d Himself will wake people up. Will show them the truth. Will show them that there is a purpose in the world. It is about bringing out the best in people through kindness and yes, holiness. Not through brutality and pain.

It is obvious that no one else has been able to change the channel.

We were reluctant to weigh into the next part of this mess but it's time. Netanyahu's instance on going into gaza city is a death trap for soldiers.

It is known that the hostages are being kept in booby-trapped tunnels or rooms. As soon as Israeli soldiers get close to them, they will be instantly killed (if they have not already died of starvation).

After all is said and done, Netanyahu is responsible for October 7.

He can keep this war going and try to hold onto power for dear life but eventually he will have to face the music. Sending more 19 and 20 year old soldiers into death traps is more than useless. It borders on criminal.

Israeli's are emotionally, physically and financially spent. This war has to end and with it, Netanyahu's political career. Like it or not, that's the way it will be and the sooner he accepts that, the faster this war will end.

The OLF - office de la langue francais are literally a bunch of dumb hillbillies. From the sound of what they just did, it appears they do not speak a word of English and if they had to leave la belle province, they would need a translator.

A few months ago, the OLF went after Go Habs G0. Too much English. They backed down but that fiasco made them look really stupid.

This current one is making them look like morons.

For over 20 years, people have been going to a Montreal pub called The Burgundy Lion. The OLF said his name did not conform to their laws.

This time the owner didn't lie down and die. He fought back saying Pub is a French word, lion is a French word and Burgundy is a place’s name so either English or French should be allowed.

The very smart owner put himself on any media site that would have him. He said, and rightly so: “It’s part of the provincial government’s effort to polarize us — distract us with things that aren’t really important, that aren’t necessary — while there’s much bigger issues to address in Quebec." Bingo.

Today the OLF backed down saying they were sorry. A technocrat went too far and further analysis showed the pub’s signage does conform with Quebec’s language rules.

It says the situation is “regrettable” and is sensitive to the public reaction the story has provoked.

Really? Ya think it's regrettable? Here's a headline: Francois Legault can't figure out why he is not popular. Someone send him into the OLF office and see if he can figure it out. Or maybe go to a hospital and let him speak to the doctors and nurses. Or maybe go to Concordia and speak to them.

The office de la langue francais is a monumental waste of our money and should be abolished.

Agreed with all said, except Netanyahu's dilemma . It’s situation where you can say “damn if you do ( continue the war) or damn if you don’t. If you don’t, you can be sure Hamas remains in power and 7/10 will happen again! I’m sure they will find best solution.

dear joannie, u have done it again, nailed everything on the head, especially the notes about bibi,

i just spoke to my friends in israel, who made aliya 40 yrs ago, and they said the very same thing, bibi has to go, he is holding on to his power for as long as he can, to prevent him from going to jail,

it is really a shame, because he used to be a good leader,
