In the grand scheme of things, the province of quebec is less than a pimple on a horse's behind.
The person running for the separatist party in quebec, Mr. Plamondon, is an egostitical, arrogant moron. Does he think for a millisecond that holding a referendum for quebec to separate from the rest of Canada is good for anything except crowning himself as king?
We'll tell you. It's not and with G-d's help will never happen. Even suggesting it is an exercise in breathtaking arrogance, delusion and false political self-importance.
He has gotten his daily headline today by saying that if elected he will not hold a referendum for quebec to separate from the rest of Canada until Trump is gone from office. Here's a good question to ask him: what happens if Trump dies in office? Didn't think of that one, did he? There are not enough adjectives to describe what an idiot, what a total fool this guy is.
Another referendum would be divisive, destabilizing and even suggesting it is utterly unnecessary and foolish. Even talking about it is not good for the economy. Who wants to invest in a province that could potentially separate from Canada?
And waiting three years to do this? All of the above scenarios would be on steroids.
Quebec has real problems. Health care is a mess. Finding a family doctor can feel like winning the lottery. Infrastructure is crumbling. Taxes are enormous. Antisemitism has been allowed to fester. Businesses are drowning in bureaucracy. These are the things a serious political leader should be obsessed with fixing.
Even uttering the word referendum is ridiculous. We wish the media would stop giving this moron any free advertising. He is an emperor with no clothes in training and doing a great job.
He views himself as the saviour of Quebec when in fact he is auditioning for the starring role in a failing scenario. He is also making very sure to make the definition of insanity come alive: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Everyone knows Justin is an idiot. But does he have to keep proving to the world?
He may not think being a bit more modest is important as an ex-prime minister, but the rest of the world does.
In his latest mind-numbingly imbecilic video, he's dancing with the latest love of his life in a hardware store holding a toilet plunger. And he's the one who made sure to get it posted on social media.
Does he have not a shred of self-awareness?
Does he not know that he has children who are watching what he is doing?
Did he forget that he was the prime minister of Canada for ten years?
No to all of the above. He is self-absorbed, narcissistic and has lost all sight of what it means to be an adult.
To all those who voted him in twice to be Canada's leader, this is really who he is, which we kept telling you for ten years.
And this is what was running our country during covid. No wonder we had endless draconian restrictions long after the rest of the world had moved on.
We were being governed by someone with the IQ of a fifteen year old.

Midnight is the deadline regarding 50% tariffs on tons of Canadian products imposed by Trump.
In a nutshell: Trump is threatening an additional 50% U.S. tariff on roughly US$20 billion worth of Canadian products entering the United States. This is not a 50% tariff on everything Canada exports to the U.S. The affected goods represent roughly 5% of U.S. imports from Canada.
The list includes Canadian dairy products, alcohol, cement, hockey equipment, clothing and other goods.
How exactly did Trump get to this place?
Clearly he has some very good researchers who found an obscure provision, Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930. This allows the president to impose tariffs of up to 50% against countries deemed to discriminate against American commerce. It has not been used in over a century.
So that's how he started this whole 50% tariff business but here's the bigger question: Who actually pays the 50%? Here ya go:
If a Canadian company sells US$100 worth of goods to an American buyer, and those goods are subject to the new tariff, the American importer would have to pay an additional US$50 to the U.S. government. Clearly that's not going to happen as that cost would be transferred to the consumer.
In the end, Trump wants Americans to stop buying Canadian and buy American or from another country instead.
One of the big sticking points is the dairy industry, specifically the supply management system.
American dairy can enter Canada tariff-free up to specified quota amounts. But once imports exceed those quotas, the tariffs become enormous. Current over-quota rates include roughly 245% on cheese and 298% on butter.
298% tariff on butter? Trump lost his mind over this. Never mind that as Canadian consumers we are getting hosed on the price of dairy products to protect the farmers.
The other piece of this puzzle are all the states that border Canada who are suffering economically due to the current tariffs and the fact that Canadians have turned their backs on their good neighbors. Those governors do not want the 50% tariff.
Trump is who is he is and nobody is going to change him. Time will tell if Carney's silence, his not telling Canadians about any progress or lack thereof worked. We still don't like him and think his silence is akin to arrogance. Plain and simple. Not, as the media would like to believe, good negotiating tactics.
We'll talk...

the reason justin gets away with his schtik is because he can,
and the same goes for every politician,
they get away with everything because they can,
they dont care about accountability, only their seat at the table, and the pension that follows when they get up,
and so it goes
