Those who run the government of Quebec are sneaky people. On their own holiday – Jean the Baptist, they dropped a piece of news that they would no longer be doing daily updates. Did they think that their confreres were so busy waving their fleurs-de-lis flags that no one would notice?
And then, just two days later on Friday afternoon, again when they thought most people would not notice, they backtracked and said they are resuming daily updates. As usual, mixed messages.
Today, this same government announced that masks would be mandatory on all public transportation. Blanche, you know that about a month ago, this same government said masks were not important. Mixed messages. Don’t you wonder who’s running the show?
The problem with this current government directive is that no one is going to enforce it. Not the police and not the bus or metro drivers. The premier said the security force attached to the transportation system will enforce the rule – that is when or if they see someone not wearing a mask.
Unless there is a fine attached to his edict, it’s worthless. People, especially young people, will simply ignore the whole thing.
After 120 years, all a man has left is his name. Yes, he leaves the legacy of his children and grandchildren, but for the man himself, what people say about him – out loud and quietly – tell people what kind of person he was.
Carl Reiner died today at the age of 98 years old. He was a genius – a producer, writer, director and actor. He was also a Grammy winner winning 9 Emmys in over 7 decades. To a person, everyone is remarking on what a sincere, kind, nice person he was. May his memory be a blessing to his family.
Blanche, do you ever wonder what the bds movement will do if a company in the West Bank in Israel develops a vaccine for the coronavirus? It’s certainly not out of the realm of possibilities. You know of course they have banned buying anything produced by Jews there.
TytoCare, located in Netanya, was originally developed to help people get medical care without having to leave their home. The platform provides patients with an on-demand medical exam, 365 days a year, no matter their location.
When coronavirus appeared, the company realized it could enable doctors to examine COVID patients remotely. Doctors can carry out numerous health checks, including on the heart, lungs, throat, body temperature and more, whether the patient is at hospital or in their own home. The company already works with over 80 health systems across the world, helping to care for patients and protect healthcare workers from catching the virus at the same time.
Let’s bet that the first people in line – pushing in no less – will be those in the bds movement.
Who has taken over the Black lives matter? Law enforcement officials had to respond to a large group of black lives matters activists late on Friday night that stormed a Beverly Hills residential neighborhood chanting “Eat the rich!” and “Abolish capitalism now!”
Because of threatened and real ‘defunding’ of police departments, we have seen pictures of people defending their property with their own weapons. If they are not careful, the tide will eventually turn on them and the real issues will be totally obscured.
So here’s a headline for those with a socialist agenda: capitalism is what is enabling the Israelis to help the rest of the world. And while there are bad eggs in police departments, society will breakdown without law and order.
Highjacking a real issue and using it for your own purposes is deviance at its worst. Hopefully, it will not be at the expense of both black and white lives.
We like Anthony Fauci, we really do. But we wish he would stop his wild predictions, the latest one warning that the US could see 100,000 new coronavirus cases per day.
The main problem with such predictions is that when he really has something serious to say, people won’t listen to him because he sounds so extreme.
Bill di Blasio, one of the worst mayor’s in New York’s history, will leave office in shame – and it better be soon.
Today, NYC is voting $1Billion in cuts and reduced expenses as part of NYPD reform in the new budget.
“We are going to insure summer programming for over 100,000 New York City young people. That is going to be an investment of $115 million. Another $116 million will go towards education, another $134 million will go towards social services and family services in the communities hit hardest by the coronavirus.”
Does anyone in their right mind think that cutting $1 billion from the police department and putting it into airy projects like this will work? We’ll tell you. It won’t. Numbers don’t lie. There have been 38 murders over the last 28 days, twice as much as the same period last year.
Sadly, NY will become another inner city where crime will be rampant.
On another pathetic note, it appears that the United States has completely dropped the ball with the coronavirus. That first right amendment is going to literally kill them as well as almost no cohesive directives from anyone, including the President.
They best get their act together, if it’s not too late, or they will wind up banned from every country in the world.
We’ll talk…
