Justin also spoke to the venerable Council of Foreign Relations to highlight Canada’s role as “a reliable and responsible partner” of the United States. Spare us.

At first when we heard the date we were upset as we are staunch royal watchers, getting up at 4:00 am to watch Diana get married then buried as well as William and Kate's and Harry and Meghan's weddings.
Slowly however, we realized that in fact we are not that upset. Something about Charles rubs us the wrong way.
Marrying Diana just to produce an heir and spare, keeping his relationship with Camilla for his entire marriage to Diana and now, making Camilla queen - with people finding out only when the invitations were sent - instead of what his mother wanted, queen consort, was really low.
The final straw for us came when we heard yesterday that he is asking the entire country to pledge allegiance to him and his family. Is he serious?
Those watching the crowning on 6 May have been asked to proclaim - out loud: "I swear that I will pay true allegiance to your majesty, and to your heirs and successors according to law. So help me God."
Blanche, you do know that Andrew is 8th in line for the throne? Do you think people want to swear allegiance to him? And why is Charles asking this at all? Is he so out of touch with reality that he doesn't know the monarchy is treading on thin ice?

All to say we will definitely survive not watching his coronation. And we heard we are not the only ones tuning out - especially in Great Britain.
Guess where Montreal's mayor Valerie Plante is this week? London, Vienna and Paris. Is she on vacation? Supposedly not. Did she tell anyone she was going away for a week on this trip? Nope.
So why did she go? Green. Saving the world. Global warming. Here's her statement: "I will go to meet the mayors to accelerate collaboration on our common priorities, including ecological transition and housing."
Ecological transition? Does that include pruning trees so they don't fall on transformers during an ice storm? Or pushing the czar legault to start burying electrical lines?

Many are outraged because a white republican councilman in Indiana declared himself a lesbian Indian woman of color in a Facebook post made earlier this month.
Delaware County Councilman Ryan Webb wrote that he considers himself an Indian American woman, saying he finally feels comfortable sharing his 'true authentic self' - 'It is with great relief that I announce to everyone that I identify as a woman and not just any woman but as a woman of color as well. I guess this would make me gay/lesbian as well, since I am attracted to women.'
He posted that he was excited to bring some 'diversity' to the county council. "Until today, we didn't have any females of color or LGBTQIAPC+++ on the council. I'm glad that we now do."
He wasn't quite done. "To avoid confusion everyone can still address me as Ryan or Councilman Webb. I will also keep my pronouns of he/him however this does not diminish my true identity as a woman. I'm just happy to know that anyone can be anything or anyone they want."
Seems some people are finally taking on the insane woke culture bs. As we have said before, we are rubenesque, identify as skinny and are therefore translender. Wake up peeps.

Texas Attorney General Paxton announced this week that his office has launched an investigation into the three pharmaceutical companies to determine if they conducted gain-of-function research and if they misled the public on the matter of vaccines.
Paxton said that three companies that he is focused on are Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson and that he’s also investigating claims that the companies made about “the efficacy of their Covid-19 vaccines and the likelihood of transmitting Covid-19 after taking the vaccines in violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.”
The statement from Paxton’s office said that the investigation will also look at whether vaccine trial data was manipulated. He noted that the probe “concerns potentially fraudulent activity that falls outside the scope of legal immunity granted to manufacturers of the Covid-19 vaccine.”
Paxton is following DeSantis's lead in Florida who is investigating the same thing. Did the pharmaceutical companies mislead the public for their own financial gain? No comment yet.
Hillary Clinton, queen of failed political campaigns is coming to speak at the liberal convention this Friday. She will be interviewed by none other than Chrystia Freeland, who always sounds like she just inhaled helium.
We are wondering what words of advice Hillary can offer both Chrystia and her boss, Justin. For sure she can advise Justin on how to get through a scandal, as she's had her fair share thanks to her beloved husband Bill. We can start with Monica Lewinsky and move on from there, but we'll just leave it at this one.
As for other advice, she could help find nicknames for those who don't support Justin. Just look at her own nickname for those who supported Trump - a basket of deplorables. We suggest Justin just smile and let her words go in one ear and out the other - his best attribute.
